Chapter 12: Pleasure Turns To Business

Chris had the most brilliant idea after they left the party. He asked Gary if he would do a radio interview as Mr Everything. At first, Gary was skeptical. Especially since he & Chris had similar sounding voices with his being slightly deeper. But he agreed to it with the condition of the interview being on his lunch break.

"You are listening to Killa Chris Williams on Power 105.1 & I have a special surprise interview today. My lady listeners, you gotta hear this. I have the notoriously elusive exotic dancer, Mr Everything on the phone right now! Wussup, man?"
Gary made his voice as deep & sexy as he could.
"Killa Chris, what's going on? I gotta say....I'm nervous about this interview."
"No need to worry! We are all family here & we got you!"
Both of them slightly snickered. If the listeners only knew how much 'family' they really were.
"But anyway, I hear you have a huge super show in about three weeks in Santa Monica! Tell us about it!" said Chris.
"It's gonna be an all male review & the venue is subjected to change. But it's gonna be my guys Anaconda, X Marks The Spot, Big Whip, myself & others in the house to give the wonderful ladies in Cali a show for the ages. I hope y'all out there listening can come out to check it out." crooned Gary.
"Hell, we may do a ticket giveaway on the station when the details are solidified! But how long have you been dancing, G--- I mean Mr. E?"
Chris gritted his teeth & felt the laser beam stare of Gary over the phone. He had almost slipped up & called his real name out. Reminding himself to knock the hell out of Chris when he seen him, Gary continued.
"About a decade now. I was ashamed to be stripping for money but when the passion gets in your system, it stays with you like an addiction. & I wanna thank my loyal fans out there who have supported me from the beginning. I love you all more than you know. Muah."
"That smooch just made half of Los Angeles faint like hell."
They both chuckled together & Gary prayed no one caught their similar laughs.
"Man, I'm so glad I got you for this interview! & I thank you for granting Power 105.1 the exclusive! You are the bomb, Mr E! & I know you have things to do so we are gonna wrap this up. Mr Everything, ladies & gentlemen! See you around, brotha!"
"You're welcome & it's all love. You definitely will see more of me, Killa."
With the closing statements, they both hung up.

Gary got out of his truck on shaky legs. Not only did he grant Chris an interview & damn near got busted out, but he had to do go through an important run through with another game tester. He readjusted his polo, wiped the sweat on his forehead & went back to his day career. The air conditioning was kind to him as he allowed himself to cool down. He entered the elevator & pressed the 13 button to his floor. Leaning against the back wall, the day dreamed about Zora. Mysteriously sexy Zora. They chatted about the weather, their personal lives, family & of course the sex was amazing. He made Zora cum so hard that she was cussin & calling on God at the same time. Gary loved the genuine chemistry they had together & made it a point to go see her after a show tonight. His thoughts were shattered by the elevator doors opening & Gary put his literal game face on.
"Yo, Gary! Our other lead tester is here!" said his co worker Mike.
"Is he in my office or conference room?" asked Gary.
"Well, she is in the conference room next to your office. & she is a looker."
Mike winked at Gary & he cautiously walked into the conference room. The huge screen was on the wall facing him & Gary walked to his chair & grabbed his controller.
"Well, what are we working on today? I'm Gary Williams. & you are?"
The woman in the chair was turned around so he couldn't see her. When she turned around to face Gary, he felt himself sweat again. Because what do you know? The woman video game tester he was working with.... was Zora. She gasped.
"Gary? I had no idea you worked here."
Gary was just stunned to see her & all he could do was breathe.
"Zora...You're a lead tester too?"
Smiling the same shy smile, she nodded.
"I've been a nerd for so long, it was bound to happen as a career."
He rubbed his temples.
"Well, one thing we didn't talk about amid our time together was our day jobs."
Chuckling together, Gary & Zora realized they have so much more in common than where they met.
"Okay. So now that we are certainly acquainted personally, can we get to know each other professionally?" he asked.
"Absolutely." Zora agreed. She stuck out her hand to him.
"Hello. I'm Zora Patterson; lead video game tester."
Gary took her hand with the same calmness he did as Mr Everything.
"Hi. I'm Gary Williams; lead tester. Shall we get to work on the gameplay of Street Boxing?"
"We shall."
With their controllers still in one of their hands, their grip on each other's hands was firm but still flirtatious. & their eyes stayed burning into each other. Finally, they let go & started their collaboration on testing the video game out. Pleasure could wait. The business was now.
