Tick tock tick tock tick tock.

That's all I'm hearing right now even though my Calculus teacher is explaining how the 4 ways to represent a function. How can anybody even being able to concentrate when in less than 10 minutes it's going to be Spring Break. My 3 best friends and I have been planning this trip since January. We had to convince our parents but eventually they agree that we were old enough to go Florida alone. It's our senior year, and we all hit the legal age, 18. We worked our butts off to save for the plane ticket and hotel. We just want to celebrate our last year together and go somewhere we can enjoy, and Florida was it. I can't wait to get a tan on the beach, enjoy the wave of the ocean, and seeing shirtless boy. Its going-

Ding

The bell interrupts my thought, without a second thought I got all my stuff and ran to my locker. When I got to my locker, I put all my books in and head towards the entrance of the school in a rush. You're probably wondering why I'm rushing. The girls and I decided to get the flight that will get us there as soon as possible, which is the flight that leaves at 6:10p.m. tonight. And we needed to get to the airport by 5 and the time right now is 3:36. We only have time to get our things from home, meet at Lori's house by 4:15 and pick something to eat on the way to the airport.

I rush into my car to get home. After 10 minutes of road rage, constant honks and 3 finger flipping, I made it home.

"Mom! I'm home. Are you ready?"

My mom was taking me to Lori's house so she can bring my car back home.

"Yes, Alexis will you calm down? You will make it to your flight on time."

"Yes mom, I know but I would like to get there early." I whine to my mother as she rolls her eyes.

"Okay, go get your things and put them in the car. Don't forget to say goodbye to your father!" She yells since I'm already running up the stairs to get my suitcases. Since I pack all my stuff last night and triple check everything for this week trip, I was satisfy that I was pretty much set. I had three luggages and one small bag that had a few items. I went down stairs and where my father and mother were talking suspiciously. This doesn't look good.

"Mom? Dad? You guys aren't making me back out last minute are you?" I ask with a little panic in my tone.

My dad shook his and chuckles. "No honey, we just wanted to give you one of your graduation gifts early."

"Really?!?"

My dad stretches his hand out to give me a white envelope. I grab the envelope and opened it. Inside the envelope was small key. I took the key out, and my eye brows knitted together in confusion

My mother had a grin on her face, "We talk to the other parents and we cancel your hotel rooms and got you a house for the trip. That is the key to the place. "

My eyes widen at my parents. "What?"

"You will stay at house in Malibu, and all the money you put for the hotel is with Lori's parents, that money will be extra money for your trip." My mother explains to me.

I ran to my parents to hug them both. My parents have always been my number one supporters in everything I do. They raise me to always live life to the fullest and do my best to look the best in people. Yes, they can be a pain here and there but what parents aren't. Even the most perfect parents can be annoying. My parents aren't rich but they work very hard to provide the home we have and finance their money very wisely. My parents are the reason why I always triple check things and always weigh out my pros and cons on decision. My parents are the best.

"Thank you guys! I love you so much. You don't understand how grateful I' am for this." I yell in my parents' ears as I'm jumping up and down.

"Okay honey, let's get going." My mother tells me as she pulls away from my hug.

I nod at my mother, turn to my father. "Thank you daddy."

"No problem pumpkin. Just remember the rules. Call me when you land. Call me once a day. Stay together at all time. Always answer my call, don't talk to strangers, No-

"Drinking alcohol or doing drugs. Yes dad, you reminded me the rules every day in the last months." I roll my eyes with a grin.

My dad signs. "Okay. Just be safe okay?"

"Yes dad. I have to go! I love you." I tip toe to kiss my father on the cheek.

My mother helps me with my suitcase, and I about to walk out to the house my dad call me. "Alexis!"

"Yes dad!"

"Have fun baby girl!"

"Thanks dad."
