BEEP! BEEP!
My alarm clock blaring in my ear startled me as I slowly recovered from my lazy weekend.
As I rolled out of bed I tripped on my copy of Withering Heights, which was so worn out from the 100 times that I read it.
It took me about ten minutes to pick an outfit because I was too tired to care. I ended up just wearing my old Beatles t-shirt and ripped skinny jeans.
"Bye Dad"
"Are you riding with Emery?"
Emery is my older brother. I would ride with him but he usually takes his friend Patt with him. It's not that I didn't like Patt but we used to hook up on the weekends and my brother never knew about it so I decided against riding with him.
"No, I'll just...ride the bus"
Riding the bus seemed like an even worse idea than riding to school with Patt but it'll just have to do.
"Ok love you, El!" I feintly heard my dad call as I shut the front door.
My dad and I have a pretty good relationship but I feel like if he knew some of the stuff that I had done in my life he'd be disappointed.
I got to school at around 7:05 right on time. My friends Ashley, Liz, and Lindsey were all waiting for me in the cafeteria.
"Hey El," Lindsey was the first to greet me and I saw she was attached to a muscled arm. Her and Oliver must've gotten back together.
Oliver and I don't get along very we'll because he's too full of himself and -- for lack of a better word -- he's an idiot.
"Hey guys"
"You look great," Ashley proclaimed with little sincerity and a lot of sarcasm.
"Yeah really rocking that beanie," Liz was always teasing me.
