"How do you play too hot?" I asked a nervous shakiness in my voice.
"Are you kidding me!?"
Ashley did not seem very amused. She huffed an exhausted sigh and continued:
"Too hot is where two players kiss without stopping and without touching each other. If one player touches the other, he or she loses. The winner gets to do whatever he or she wants to the loser."
Really!? I mouthed in her direction. She shrugged and continued eager to start the game.
"So...who's gonna go first?"
Nick sounded so shy and cute when he asked this that I didn't even realise I was raising my hand.
Emery's eyes got about 10x bigger but I didn't care. I was actually glad that I was gonna play the game and finally be the brave one.
"Woo get it El!" I hear Lindsey's cheering and sarcastic clapping and I just shake my head in amusement.
"Who else wants to play," Ashley asked teasingly.
You can imagine my shock when I see his arm shoot up in the air. Nick. I was completely and utterly stunned. What happened to that shy, sweet, boy next door? Well, I guess he was probably thinking the same thing about me.
As Nick and I made our way to the middle of the circle being formed by hormonally crazed teenagers, I saw Patt. He look pissed, almost jealous.
I don't know what's gotten into him lately. He's just been so bi-polar. I just wish I could talk to him, the way we use to, anyway.
We sat down in the circle and as second by second went by I got more and more anxious.
Nick began to lean in as I prepared myself for a kiss that never came.
His lips brushed against my ear and I shivered.
"I really hope you win." he whispered it so pleadingly and helpless, it almost gave me chills.
"Why's that?"
"Because I don't think you can handle what happens after I win."
In that moment I didn't know what to feel -- scared, nervous, anxious, happy.
This boy that I've been so infatuated with is hinting at sexual things in my ear so I am not backing out now.
"Come on, love birds, let's get a move on!" Ashley teased.
I was tired of waiting. I smashed my lips on to his, not hesitating.
It was amazing. Kissing him made my body feel like it was on fire. Trying not to touch him was unbearable.There was heat coursing through my veins and it was incredible. All of a sudden my hand was on his chest but I didn't even care.
He leaned back and smirked, "I warned you, El"
I went over with Ash and her jaw was open so wide, that I had to watch my feet to make sure I didn't trip on it.
"What the hell El!? You looked like you two were gonna fuck right there!"
I blushed. Obviously I blushed! It didn't just look the we were gonna fuck it felt like we could've too.
Patt interrupted my thought, "Alrighty so who's next?"
He looked completely uncomfortable, definitely trying to forget what just happened.

PATT'S POV
Oh my god! I can't stand it!! I can't stand seeing El with someone else, especially Nick. What did they have in common? What did he know about her or what she's been through?
All I know is that he will never know her like I do. He will never care as much, or love her like I do.
"Alrighty so who's next?" I cringed. I couldn't think words let alone speak them.
Before I knew it a hand grabbed mine and I was being yanked to the middle of our circle.
The look on El's face was priceless!
