Lunch went by fast as we made random conversation and I thought aimlessly about cutie-blue eyes.

Then as the minutes in chemistry went by slowly because of my lack of friends I started day-dreaming about typewriters in the civil war and how food chemistry would someday save our race and...

The bell rang and I realised I wasn't just day-dreaming, I had fallen asleep and missed a lot of notes and tonight's homework assignment.

I usually wouldn't have given calculus a second thought either but when I walked through the door, the first thing I see is blonde hair, blue eyes, and he's sitting in the seat right behind me.

I walked to my seat and my heart started racing. All day I couldn't stop thinking about this kid and I was finally right in front of him.

"Thanks" as he smiled.

I smiled back. I needed to know him. I wanted to know his name, his favorite color, his hobbies, and everything in between.

The bell rang and I saw my chance.

"Uh hi, I'm El"

"Hey your Emery's sister, right?"

Ugh. My brother got to him first.

"Yeah"

"I'm Nick"
