Not Even Close to Ending

Hey guys! In my story I will have some songs in it because I am to lazy to write one or something like that. Well, enjoy!

Boom! Boom! It goes off over and over. Rue starts to stumble over roots and rocks so I pick her up and sprint. I run until we reach a lush meadow. I put Rue down and catch my breath.

"What was that?" Rue asks.

"Well, it was a an exploding goose. The moment you strike it down it explodes." I say. She nods her head and I hear faint footsteps. I whip out my bow and see Thresh appear out of the forest. I lower my weapon and smile.

"Oh. Hey Thresh." I say. "Want some floopknot?" I say pulling it out of my bag.

"No." he says.

"Want some Rue?" I ask looking over at her.

"Maybe later." she says. I nodd my head and look at my surroundings. I see a panicked look on Rue's face and turn around. I see Cato running at me with his sword. I react by kicking him in the jaw. He quickly gets up and slashes Rue in the stomech. I can feel my eyes turn red.

"That was the biggest mistake of your life." I growl. I feel myself changing into some kind of animal. I look down and see that I'm on all fours. Instead of hands there are paws. I look at my body and see stripes and a long tail. I am a tiger.

I walk slowly towards Cato. I am about to pounch on him when a sharp pain goes through my left shoulder. I look over to my left and see Clove. Perfect target.

"No!" Cato yells as I pounch on Clove and rip her apart. I turn back to normal and growl at Cato. He runs away and I hurry over to Rue who's in Thresh's arms.

"Don't worry Rue, everythings going to be alright." I say. I place my hand on Rue's stomech and it glows a soft blue.

"I'm gonna kill that boy." Thresh grumbles.

"Cato?" I ask. He nodds his head. I get up and collect some berries. I come back and give them to Rue.

"Can you take care of her for a while?" I ask Thresh. He nodds yes so I give him the arm warmers, some beef, and the rest of the floopknot. I travel through the forest and kill two more floopknots, and collect some roots and berries. I travel to a river and fill my water bottle. Then I gently start to sing a song stuck in my head.

I remember tears streaming down your face when I said "I'll never let you go."

When all those shawdows almost kill your light.

I remember you said, "Don't leave me here alone,"

But all thats dead and gone and passed tonight.

Just close your eyes,

The sun is going down.

You'll be alright,

No one can hurt you now

Come morning light,

You and I'll be safe, and, sound.

I am about to continue when I hear a twig snap.

"You know, you were always bad at being quiet." I say. I turn around and see Peeta come out from behind a tree.

"Am I really that loud?" he asks.

"Yes. Yes you are realy that loud. But, not as loud as this- AHHHHHHHH" I say yelling at the top of my lungs. Peeta puts his hand over my mouth but it doesn't work. After five unsucessful mintues of trying to shut me up, he gives up.

"Can you PLEASE just SHUT UP?" He whines. I stop and tackle him to the ground. He flips me off him and pins me to the ground.

"I let you win." I say.
