The Coopers, the stepfords of Riverdale, high school sweethearts who got married and had two beautiful daughters, Polly and Betty. Their perfect family image was far from that, Alice and Hal Cooper tried their best to make sure their family grew to be a perfect, normal and happy one but it was tough. It as a slight struggle when their second daughter Betty was born, she wasn't born exactly like other girls.

Throughout Betty's childhood, the Coopers made sure their daughter was protected from any discrimination, their first choice was home-schooling but as Betty grew older she found it hard when her older sister would rush to school without her. So, she ended up going to school with her sister the happiness evident on her face reassured the worried parents. Betty always knew she wasn't typically like all the other girls, but it didn't stop her from anything. She enjoyed going shopping with her sister, reading magazines, doing her makeup or painting her nails.

Betty's best friend in school had always been Archie Andrews, in fact in second grade she tutored him everyday so he could finally be with her in the same grade. Finally, when Archie passed the ginger haired boy took it upon himself to ask the blonde haired girl if she'd marry him. The petite blonde haired girl told him with blushed cheeks, "Oh, little Archie, we're too young. Ask me when we're 18 and I'll say yes." they spent most days together, enjoying each others company. The boy knew most things abut her, of course he knew nothing about the secret her family held from everyone, until one day.

The Coopers had bought a paddling pool in the summer, young Betty Cooper was ecstatic. The first thing she decided to do was invite her best friend Archie around, even though her parents weren't too sure. Not thinking about the circumstances she simply brushed it off, whilst young Archie changed in the bathroom Betty changed in her own room. She fumbled around, slightly agitated as she wasn't able to get her swimming costume on. The boy once finished, barged into the girls room, not thinking anything of it.

The small petite girl let out a high pitch screamed as did the curious boy, his eyes wide as Betty's parents whisked the small girl away cradling her and comforting her. Both children were overwhelmed with what had just happen, the boys parents quickly picked him up and The Coopers tried to explain the situation that their daughter was, intersex. Luckily, they understood and made sure to keep it to themselves.

The next day, Betty faced her fears and made her way to school, hand in hand with her sister. She was surprised when she saw Archie waiting in the same spot they'd meet each morning, grinning and waving at the blonde girl...as if nothing had happened. They started to walk into school they mad small talk, the ginger haired boy eventually pulled her to the side. "Look Betty, I just want you to know that I don't think anything different of you." He told her honestly, scratching his head nervously as he thought of the right words to say. "It doesn't make a difference that you have boy parts like me, you'll always be my best friend. Not matter what." The petite blue eyed, blonde haired girl smiled, she thanked him and they went on like a normal day.

As Betty Cooper grew older, she started to understand the hurdles she'd go through. But once again, she never stopped doing what she loved and she didn't have to worry about her secret. But that all changed when Veronica Lodge, arrived in town.
