Rising sun- DISCONTINUED

Chapter 3

Moonstar was In his den thinking about the gathering that would be happening in the next few nights and he began to ponder over which cats he should take when he heard a loud wail coming from the centre of the camp. Conserned about what was going on he pushed his way out of his den, only to be met with his beloved mate running around frantically. "Sunkit! Sunkit where are you?" Beamheart yowled across the camp. Moonstar rushed over to Beamheart with Flowerpelt on his heels, "What happened?" He demanded careful to not let his fear become noticeable to his clan.
"Sunkit disappeared! And no one has seen her!" Came a frantic response from Beamheart "I went to get the kits so that they could eat but I could only find Flurrykit and Nightkit! No one has seen Sunkit since Sunhigh!"
Moonstar went silent and thought hard for a few moments until he finally spoke "Who was the last one to see Sunkit in camp?" No cat spoke which deepened the leaders worry until Flurrykit finally spoke up. "Me and Nightkit were the last to see her and I think I know what she's done." Replied a far from calm kit "She was saying something about exploring the forest! We tried to talk her out of it but she wouldn't listen!" Mewed Nightkit as his eyes gleamed with worry.
Moonstar instantly realised the danger the young kit was in and called his warriors forward. "I want all of you to split into groups and cover as much of the forest as possible. I will not rest until my kit is found!" He ordered, his eyes filled with fear but his tail swishing in annoyance at his daughters foolishness. All of the cats nodded at did exactly as their leader asked while he comforted his mate and tried to keep calm himself.
Meanwhile, in the forest Sunkit was having the time of her life exploring when she started to become hungry. Earlier that day when she had first set out on her journey she had tried to do a bit of hunting but failed and had thought she would go back before sundown but she soon lost her sense of timing and It was almost nightfall, however the kit suddenly realised she had no idea how to get back to camp. She tried backtracking but she seemed to end up even more lost. Starting to panic she started to run when she tripped over a tree root that was stuck out of the ground and fell, landing awkwardly on her front paws. She tried to get up but a searing pain shot up her front left leg causing her to yelp and collapse again. All at once she realised her horrible mistake and began to yowl. Not long after she heard movement in the bushes and tried to get up to run forgetting her injury and collapsed once more into the dirt. Huddling in as tight a ball as possible she said a silent prayer to starclan and awaited what was in the bushes. Suddenly a ginger striped muzzle pushed through the bushes followed by a head of the same colours and amber eyes. It was Tigerlily, one of the young warriors of Leafclan, she lifted her head and sniffed the air before turning to look at Sunkit. "There you are Sunkit! What were you thinking running into the forest? You could have been injured or worse still, killed!" Growled an obviously angry Tigerlily. "I'm...sorry...." Sunkit wimpered "I-I wasn't thinking..." she lowered her head in shame as the warrior stared at her, her eyes filled with a mix of anger and relief. "Follow me." Tigerlily said at last. "You need to get back to camp."
"I can't!" cried Sunkit "I tripped on a tree root and hurt my leg. I can't walk!" Tigerlily looked closely at the kit and noticed that there was something wrong. "I'll carry you. Just tell me if it hurts ok?" She responded trying to calm her anger at the kit's stupidity. "Ok..." was all Sunkit could say before the warrior she-cat was picking her up by her scruff. She winced as her leg throbbed but she didn't complain because she knew it was her own fault.
When they arrived back at camp the rest of the cats were already back from their hunts to find the missing kit. When everyone saw that Tigerlily had Sunkit in her mouth they all breathed a sigh of relief as Beamheart rushed over to them. "My kit! My precious kit!" Tigerlily barely had enough time to place the kit down before Beamheart was showering her in licks. Sad to break up the happy reunion Tigerlily spoke "I don't want to say this right now but Snowfluff needs to look at Sunkit's leg. I had to carry her because she couldn't walk on it and even then she was constantly wincing in pain." Beamheart stopped licking her kit as soon as Tigerlily said Snowfluff and bagan to worry again. Moonstar stepped in and asked Goldenwish to get Snowfluff and Bronzepaw to look at his kit while he spoke to Tigerlily in his den for a bit. Not long after she was asked, Goldenwish returned to the entrance of camp with Snowfluff and Bronzepaw right behind her. "What happened?" Inquired Snowfluff "Is someone hurt?"
"It's Sunkit." Responded a scared Flurrykit. "She escaped into the forest and hurt her leg so much that she couldn't walk on it."
Snowfluff looked at Sunkit for a moment before speaking "It's clear that she's broken her leg, but, with plenty of rest and the right herbs she will be as good as new in no time."
"Thank you Snowfluff I will bring her to your den in a moment." Replied Moonstar who had joined them again with Tigerlily behind him. He once again shot a disproving glance at Sunkit before picking her up and bringing her to Snowfluff's den.

Finally managed to update! I hope I made up for my absence with this extra long chapter. I was struggling with ideas for a bit but I managed to sort this chapter out. How do you think this story should go? Because to be totally honest I don't know :/
