Chapter Four

Shannon's POV

one minute Jai is about to kiss me and the next we are both covered in water. As I wipe my eyes, Jai jumps up and chases the boy that had thrown the water over us. There are three other boys that are stood there laughing. I give them all a dirty look and they all sit opposite me.

"Haha sorry about that, I'm Luke, Jai's twin brother! You must be Shannon" This boy looks nearly the same as Jai but he has different tattoos and he has his lip and nose pierced.

"Yeah I'm shannon, how do you know my name?"

"Jai spoke about you all night, it's kind of annoying because we share a bedroom so I had to listen to it. You're as beautiful as he described"

oh no, I hate it when people give me attention and compliments, I look down to try to hide myself blushing.

"Hey Shannon, I'm James" This boy is taller than the others, he has the most dazzling smile I've ever seen! I smile at him, hoping he doesn't notice me blushing.

"Hi Shannon! I'm daniel it's really nice to meet you!" This boy was so cute but hot at the same time. Is it possible to have a crush on this many boys within the same day?

"Who's the idiot?" I ask them, pointing at the boy that had thrown water over me and Jai.

Luke laughed and answered "Ahh him, that's beau. He's mine and Jai's older brother. He may be an idiot but us boys have gotten used to it, that's just our sense of humour you know? Jai would normally just laugh it off but he's embarrassed because he really likes you"

It was so awkward that I had just called his brother an idiot but they all found it funny and apparently Jai really likes me so I shook it off. Jai was heading back towards us, dragging beau along in a headlock. I didn't notice much about beau, only the fact that he had lots of tattoos. I could feel myself smiling over the fact that Luke had just told me that Jai likes me. A shadow was blocking my light so I look up and Jai is stood over me, holding his hand out to pull me off the floor.

"Come on Shannon, I will take you back to my place to dry off now that I've dealt with that idiot" Jai said, grinning at me.

It wasn't a long walk back to Jai's house, I was quite thankful that I was wet because it was a really hot day so the water cooled me down. I can't wait to get these clothes off and wash my face though, my makeup is a mess!

Jai's POV

I can't believe Beau would do something like that to me and Shannon on our first date, I hate it when he does that. Most of the time it's funny because there is nothing to be embarrassed about, but it was in front of Shannon. I can tell that she was upset by it because she didn't talk much walking to my house. Thankfully my mum is out so there were no questions asked about why we were soaking wet or why there was a girl in the house.

"Here, this is a shirt of mine, you can wear it until your clothes are dry. You can get dressed in Beau's room, I will be in my room if you need me ok?" She nodded at me and closed the door.

Shannon's POV

Jai is so sweet giving me a shirt of his to wear. It even smelt like Jai which made it look even more comfortable to put on. I feel a bit awkward in Beau's room. I can see a full length mirror on his wall, I need to cover it up. I take a blanket from his bed and put it over the mirror. I've always hated my body, everybody else that I know are so skinny, I can't bare to look at mine. That's not the only thing, once my mum had passed, I suffered with depression. This meant me having scars across my stomach and thighs. I regret all of that now, I'm just lucky I had my best friend to get me through it. What am I going to do if things get serious with Jai? If I can't even look at my own body, how can I let him look at it? I doubt it will get that serious anyway. I take off my clothes and the second I am about to grab Jai's shirt to put it on, the door opens. It was beau. He walked in on me and all I can do is stand here in my underwear, frozen. It takes me a second to realise he was looking at my boobs before I quickly put Jai's shirt on before he can see anymore. The shock of him coming in made me scream, that's when I heard Jai come running. It didn't take him long to realise what had happened.

Jai's POV

I can't believe Beau just walked in on Shannon whilst she was getting dressed! how disrespectful! All I could feel was anger, I couldn't hold it back. That's when I punched him. I grabbed beau in a headlock and when I felt him try to pull away, I pushed him to the floor.

Shannon's POV

it was the worst thing to have happened here in Australia. I didn't know what to do. I hate seeing fights, the thought of Jai getting hurt was making my skin crawl. I have to do something to stop it. the noise of skin on skin contact was becoming unbearable so I ran towards them both. Jai was on the floor and beau was sat on top of him, he had complete control of his body because he had a leg either side of Jai. I leant in to grab Beau's arm to pull him off but I got the timing wrong. The impact of it knocked me to the floor, everything went black.

Jai's POV

Shannon leant in at the wrong time, just as beau lifted his arm up to throw another punch at me. He ended up elbowing her in the face. Beau was in such shock that he got off me and ran out of the door. I was left to deal with the mess he had made. Shannon was knocked unconscious and i have no idea what to do. I pick her up over my shoulder and put her down on the sofa. She looks so beautiful right now, she always does.

Shannon's POV

I wake up and I am lay on a sofa. Jai is sat on the floor next to me, holding a bag of frozen peas to my head.

"w-what happened?" I ask, stuttering and trying to sit up.

"Shh shannon, everything is ok, just lay back down" Jai tried to calm me, laying my back down and kissing my forehead. My head begins to throb as I remember what had happened.

"are you ok Jai?" I'm so worried about him, I can see a mark on his face where Beau had hit him.

Jai's POV

"I'm fine, don't you worry about me ok?" Shannon nodded and smiled at me. I can't resist her anymore, at least I know beau won't ruin this moment again. I lean in towards her until our lips are about to touch. She closes her eyes, I take this as her approval of me kissing her. I press my lips against hers.

Shannon's POV

It was exactly how I thought it would be. it felt right. His lips are so soft, for our first kiss, he wasn't holding back. I think I'm falling for him.

Jai's POV

I think I'm falling for her.
