Aug quickly grabbed the gun and shot Rodney in the head.

Police is questioning me about every fucking thing that happened. I don't fucking care I don't care to care. All I know is my baby better be straight. I ain't got time for no bullshit.

"Look bruh. He was trespassing shit got outta hand he pulled out a gun shot and my baby got hit so I did his ass. Self defense... Could YAL worry about this shit another day damn."

"Mr. Alsina we need to get everything that happened down on paper it's our job."

I gripped my jeans. "And it's my fucking job to be black and die. But most importantly my job is to serve for my wife and kids. I'd be damned if I let anyone come up in my house, the place I call home and try to harm or even kill mines. Let me ask you a question officer....Do you have a wife ? Do you have kids ?"

Imagine coming home your door busted open, a dude on top of your wife beating her as if she was you....then pulling out a gun on you cause you tried to help....and in the mist of all of that shots are fired and boom your baby boy or girl gets hit by a stray bullet. We all stood up.

"Your daughter is fine. It's actually a miracle on how well shes cooperating with us. Only thing is the bullet is stuck in her right shoulder. She's very lucky."

Me and Kehlani dismissed the officers. I knew they was gonna come back for me sooner or later being that I did kill a man in self defense but who fucking cares. They asses cut me some slack letting me be here with her

I walked into the room and seen my baby girl with the most beautiful smile on her as she slept. I swear it feels like she's been here before.

"Wassup mamas ?" I dropped a few tears.

She shifted in her sleep.

"I know baby. It's good your okay."

"Baby look at all this stuff hooked up to my poor baby." Kehlani cried.

"I know it's pain meds love."

I woke up from a cold sweat. Being away from my family is the worst. Last time I seen my family was at the hospital. My baby girl is still in there and where am I here in jail. I knew Lani wasn't gonna come visit as much but hey what's the choice when your baby girl is in the hospital and taking physical therapy. You definitely don't have time to pay attention to other things.

"Look'a he'a I ain't with the shit today I just wanna call my family and make sho everything is everything. "

The Guard on mid shift here is such an asshole. Hell he act like he the one locked up.

"5 mins then you take yo monkey ass back in your cell!"

- The phone rung twice before my wife's small voice pierced through the phone.

"Babe how is she?" I really was just ready to be home. But I knew for a fact I had to be strong.

"She's getting there, her shoulder of course is casted up but hey she likes it"

"Put her on the phone mama!"

I heard the phone shuffling. Indicating that she was trying to grip the phone.

"Daddyyy! When are you going to come home from camp?"

I could hear the sadness in her voice. My side of the phone grew silent. Camp I smirked. I wish it was camp.

"Soon big head soon. Just stay strong for Daddy. And let Morgan know I love her dearly."

talked to my wife about other legal things. Getting a good lawyer and such. I know she has my back, really her and my girls are all I need.

"You have 60 seconds remaining."

I let out a long sigh. "Well bae I gotta go. Talk to y'all soon. Kiss the girls for me."

After getting off the phone with Aug my heart completely fell to the ground. I'm missing him more and more. Still on the computer searching for lawyers.

''Shit getting a lawyer is harder than I thought it honestly would be." I bit my bottom lip.

I kept strolling. And quickly stumbled upon Justice 4 you. I checked out a few of their lawyers. And one caught my eye.
