I looked around blindly in the room. I felt the hairs on the back of my neck raise, as though someone were watching me. I turned around, but couldn't see if anyone was there or not. I shoved my phone into my bag and then walked toward where I hoped my old boss's desk was, holding my hands out in front of me so that I wouldn't bump into anything.

Bumping into the desk, I felt my way around until I came to the side where a chair was neatly pushed in behind it. I pulled out the chair and sat down on it. Then I opened the nearest draw, and felt around it blindly, hoping I wouldn't cut my hand on anything. I could feel what I thought see pens or pencils, paper, and a few erasers. I continued on to the next draw.

I went through it but again came up with nothing. I opened the third draw. Nothing. I opened the last draw. My fingers brushed against what felt like a mess of wires. Probably scraps or something. Sighing, frustrated, I swept my hand slowly across the top of the desk. There were a few picture frames, a couple pencils, and a computer, keyboard, and mouse. I opened he computer but, of course, it was dead.

Deciding I'd just check anyway, I brushed my hands along the sides of the desk, under the chair, and then finally under the desktop itself. My hand brushed against something. I felt it, trying to figure out what it was. A button. I hesitated a moment, but then pressed it.

There was silence for a moment, but then I heard what sounded like a metal door slamming shut against the ground on two sides of the room, where the two locked doors were. What did I just do? After another moment, I heard a strange clicking noise. Then, the lights came on.

I blinked a few times and then looked around, noticing that some things in the office had changed.

First, I noticed that instead of the two normal doors on either side of the office, metal ones blocked the exits. These doors had a line of what looked like black and yellow tape along the top and the bottom. It didn't look like there was any way to open them.

Next, I noticed that there were two tables in the middle of the room, about eight feet apart from each other. The tables each had an object on top them. I walked toward them to get a better look at the objects.

On the first table was a simple, but sharp looking, knife and a taser. The table itself looked as though it had been dusted and cleaned recently. The knife looked as though it had been sharpened and polished and the taser looked new.

The second table had a single, folded piece of paper. The table the paper was on looked slightly dusty. The paper was yellow around the edges, as though it were as old as the lower floors of the building appeared.

I turned away from the first table, walking toward the table with the paper instead. Once I got the paper, I'd get the knife and taser for protection, just in case. I picked up the paper and then opened it carefully, as though the paper would disintegrate in my hands.

On the paper were six words. A question.

Did you make the right choice?

Wondering what that could mean, I turned toward the first table. My eyes widened slightly. It was gone.

I turned back to the second table, but it had vanished too. It was as though the two tables were never there in the first place. I was still holding the paper though. The little paper in my hand was the only thing that convinced me I hadn't imagined the two tables. The doors were still shut.

I turned back toward the desk and froze.

There were two animatronics.

The first, clearly a female, was leaning against the desk. Her arms were folded and it was clear that she was staring directly at me. Her hair was purple, and glowed with a neon purple tint. Her skin color was pale, almost white. Like the Circus Baby's animatronics, she had face plates and multiple joints. She wore black knee-high boots with neon purple laces, black pants, a white shirt, and a black vest with purple outlines. There was an amulet with a silver chain and a purple glowing gem around her neck. Her eyes seemed to constantly blend with deep blues, and purples, and black, and seemed to have tiny stars constantly floating inside. She stood at about eight feet tall. It was clear that she would tower over Circus Baby.
