Pia Madrigal is a very passionate field journalist in the top broadcasting network in the Philippines. She is the one who is always accepting scoops that are very dangerous; and that is the reason why she is a very popular and a very respected personality in her country; earning her the label of "Best Modern Journalist of the Philippines."

Her next scoop is the issue between China and Philippines regarding Scarboroughshoal; and she is more than willing to make a cover in the middle of that island.

When she reached the island, she was stopped by the Chinese Coastguards; but she dismissed them. That is why, the squadron leader of the Chinese Naval Aviators stationed there named Col. Amelia O'Young is the one who intervened to stop the hard headed journalist. Pia did not still listened to the squadron leader; that is why, she and Amelia bickered endlessly. Not just that, Pia also threw and empty can to the face of Amelia because the journalist was provoked by the arrogant and selfish words of the Chinese Colonel.

The issue about the throwing became viral because when Pia conducted her scoop in Scarboroughshoal, it was live. That is why, the Chinese Government became more furious to the Philippines; making the latter country's President terrified for the possible cause of disaster. The President of the Philippines ordered Pia to personally apologize to Col. O' Young so that the relationship of their countries can still be civil despite the situation.

Pia agreed, but Amelia tested the journalist's patience again. Amelia wants Pia to meet her again in Scarboroughshoal, so that it will not be convenient to the journalist. Pia assured that Amelia is the one who will give up on teasing. That is why, she rode a jetski on the way to Scarboroughshoal holding a Philippine Flag.

Pia's jetski is weak against the waves of the sea. That is why, Pia became out of balanced and she fall into the ocean. Fortunately, there is someone in the boat who saw and saved her.

Amelia did a CPR to Pia. After a few seconds, the young journalist woke up. Pia blamed Amelia because she almost died because of her. Amelia answered that it is not her fault because she never asked Pia to go alone and to use a jetski on her way which is very risky.

Pia asked Amelia an apology. Amelia said that she is not an easy person. Amelia said that she will just forgive Pia if the latter will accompany her for a few days while she is doing her duties in the island. Pia became furious again at first, because Amelia won again in making her angry; but still, she agreed to the condition of the squadron leader because she has no choice...she really needs to be forgiven by Amelia so as to maintain the civil relations of their countries.

During that few days, the two ladies stopped bickering at last and became closer with each other. Amelia shared to Pia that ever since she was a kid, she is already patriotic and aviation is already inside her heart. That is why when she grew up, she chose to become a fighter pilot to satisfy those two things that she is passionate with. After Amelia's sharing, she and Pia shared a passionate kiss.

When Pia is back again in Manila, her boss and the President is very proud of her; because Col. O'Young gave a positive feedback "on how Pia asked an apology to her." That is why, her fans in her motherland looked up into her more because of her persistence and humility towards being forgiven by Amelia. Unbeknownst to all, Pia and Amelia now are in a secret relationship.

Communication is very hard between Pia and Amelia because of the latter's job; because signal is impossible in Scarboroughshoal. But signal is not a hindrance if there is a will; still, their communication is consistent because Amelia is asking her coastguards to mail her letters to Pia, and Pia is also answering the squadron leader's letters back. One letter of Amelia contains a wooden tiny fighter plane that she personally made for Pia. Amelia's efforts made Pia fall in love into the squadron leader more.
