Elections

When Mr Ray announced that the elections would start tomorrow, I wasn't the only one who groaned.
Adams did too, Carsley rolled her eyes and Luke just sighed.

The nomination would start tomorrow at the cafeteria.

'Why do we bother about having elections and presidents' ..I asked.
'Why do you bother about voting and nominating'.. Carsley asked.
But the same kids always run, and one of them always win.. I said
'And the winner doesn't do the job'.. Adams said
That's right... Luke said... I think we should vote for someone different from others who would be the best president..
'Yeah but who?' Carsley asked

I didn't want to jinx it..
After school, I met up with my friends, sat next to Carsley while Adams and Luke were right beside me.
I think you should run for president Carsley!.I mean you're cool and you can get people to do things for the school..

What!
Are you out of your mind..! Mat?..Carsley said looking at me with her bitchy face.

No I'm very fine.. I'm serious, we need someone who will do a good job.
'Yeah that's true'... Luke said. I mean Carsley is good at bullying people, she might as well bully them to do things for the school.

"Shut up'' I said..
Adams laughed.
That's not a bad idea precisely... Besides it would be cool having our friend as president.
'Good point, Adams'.. Luke said.

Then Carsley sighed.. Sorry Mat.. But it would be humiliating to loose and you know how much I want to be popular.
'Yeah that's it you will be popular'.. I said.

"No.. I don't think so. If we loose, I won't just be popular we would become the most popular losers"... Carsley said.

Then we all laughed.

'Who said you'd loose.. I mean you won't know unless you try'.. Luke said.
Finally something positive came from you.
Okay cars.. I'd be your campaign manager and the rest of you are my assistants. I said giggling.

Okay boss!! Luke and Adams responded.

The next day, we all sat together at the cafeteria. Nobody knew we were going to nominate Carsley as president.

Mr Ray had announced that it was time for nominations...

A football player nominates zacky and then the whole team raised their hands to second.

Then Bullock nominated Ashley.. Then we all grinned.
'Why the heck would Ashley run for president'.. Carsley yelled.
"Keep it down" I said.

Then Lola nominated Rachel.. And then her clique members did the seconding.

Anyone else...?.Mr Ray asked
Anyone?.. Then the whole cafeteria was silent.

I nominate Carsley Williams..
Excellent choice, Matilda he said as he smiled.
I had never seen Mr Ray smile... But I was happy that I made him smile even if it was for a little while.

Who wants to second Carsley?
Then Adams and Luke did.
My stomach flip flopped. I was nervous seeing that everyone kept staring at me.

Good luck with your campaigns, remember to prepare your speech Presidents it will commence on Friday and everyone is expected to vote on Friday too, Mr Ray said.

Carsley looked worried and so did I ... You're going to win Carsley I muttered.
Guys let's go.. Adams said.

So Mat.. What now?...Luke asked.
We need to make campaigns for Carsley...
Okay so.. Why don't you guys meet at my house...Adams said. 4pm is good for me.
Perfect I'll see you guys there. I said.

Mat I don't think this is a good idea, Carsley said...
Take a chill cars.. Or is d Almighty cars scared of elections..

Then chill okay... I said as we drove home.

When I got home I picked up some poster boards and makers. Then to Adams house.

"Hey you're late Mat".. Adams said.
Sorry but its just 4:01pm
'Yeah one min late'.. Cars said.
'Okay sorry.. So sorry...' I said freaking out

Luke laughed...
Why are you laughing blonde boy?
Cause you're cute...
Awwn thank you.. I said smiling.

Back off boy.. Adams said.
She's my girlfriend no compliments.

'Your girlfriend!!! Woah! Mat did u hear that. Oh I get it.. She doesn't like you..' Carsley said.
Yeah but she will soon.. Right Mat.. Adams asked as he smiled winking at me.

Whatever let's get busy with this stuff.. I said trying to let them know I wasn't in the mood.

As we all laughed.
'You are a winner cars'.. I said

Luke also made posters of Carsley's pictures. They were really beautiful I must say.
'Thank you... You guys have been so good to me,' Carsley said
'No thank you Carsley.. You made me discover my girlfriends potential,' Adams said.

Then they all laughed except me...
Mat.. Are we okay?.. Adams asked.
Mat.. Adams let me be .. I yelled.
Cars.. I think I want to go home right now... See you guys tomorrow...
Mat.. Mat.. Wait up.. Luke screamed.
What's wrong..?
I'm fine... Just get the posters to school Luke.. I don't feel too good.

Mat night.. Love u.. Cars said. As I drove off.

What's with her?..Adams asked.
"Adams I think she needs a break. Remember she's still recovering from her family issues don't push it."... Carsley said

Alright I won't . I just really do like her.. But she won't believe me..
Luke laughed.. Shut up Luke.. Adams said.
Okay okay. Lover boy.

... Guys good night.. Adams you'll bring the posters to school right since you have a ride.

Guy later... He said taping Luke shoulder..
