~Open My Eyes And Heart~
*Aerialkit's Pov*
Silence grasped the nursery that cold leafbare morning. The only time its peace was shattered was when the icy winds raged a little more furiously than the moment before, whistling the braken and leaves at the Nursery den entrance. The small kit heard a loud yawn with was followed by another few yawns as if it was contiguous.
"Do you reckon she is awake?" A male voice sounded softly.
"Yeah, I wanna explore" A female's silky mew sounded that time.
"Open your eyes Aerial!" The male's mew snapped loudly, an inkling of impatience in it.
The small fluffy grey she-kit's large azure oculars fluttered open and she squinted, ajusting her blue eyes to the new light that embraced her. She made out six or seven other shadowy figures that were blurred as she became accustomed to the world.
"They are open!" The she mewed excitedly, "Ma look they are OPEN"
"I told you she would wake soon, in her own time" A sweet sounding mew came from behind the fluffy grey she-kit.
"Where am I?" I mewed, opening her large blue optics and looking around.
"You in the nursery!" The tom that she had heard mewed jovaly.
I studied his features closely. He had a long soft golden pelt with darker sandy yellow streaks which were faint but still barely visible. His eyes were a vivid green with bright amber flecks which gave him a dashing apperance.
"Hiya!" The golden pelted tom-kit chirped in joy. "Im Beekit, First born of Lightsong's litter. I'm you big brother!"
The grey she-kit blinked. "Brother?" I mewed uncertianly
"Yep!" Beekit mewed.
"I'm Halokit" The she-kit mewed and i turned my gaze to intake the new speaker's appearance.
Halokit was a sleek white she-kit with golden ear-tips, paws and tail-tip. On her head was a faint ring of pale golden fur which explained her heavenly name. She had large amber oculars with orange and pale lemon yellow flecks.
"This are Ravenkit" Beekit mewed, flicking his tail to a jet black pelted tom-kit with large blue eyes and a white part on his chest. "That is Tigerkit" He nodded to a small dark brown tabby tom with extraordinary purple eyes.
"That is Deepkit" Halokit added and the looked at a solemn looking russian blue she with dull blue eyes with an icy sheen over them. "That is Archkit" The nodded at a bright ginger she-kit with bright green eyes and a limey yellowy tint to them.
"And I'm Duskkit!" A small smokey grey tom chittered as he bounced over.
"What is my name?" I mewed, looking slightly confused.
"You are Aerialkit" Beekit announced, a broad grin on his maw "I know everykit's name!"
I chucked then heard a warm purr rumble behind me which made me jump. I spun around to see my mother, a long furred soft pelted pure white she-cat. She had deep violet eyes which showed where Tigerkit got his vivid purple orbs from. All of a sudden a sleek ginger tabby tom came and approached my mother,giving her warm nuzzle then sat by her.
"I see small Aerialkit is finally awake" He grunted, there was somewhat of an inkling of annoyance in his calm mew but no-one else noticed apart from Aerial.
"Morning Pa!" Beekit and Halokit squeaked in unison, scrambling over to their father in joy.
Duskkit rolled his eyes and sat by me.
"He has favourites" He muttered so only I heard and I nodded vigorously.
"I can tell, he seem disappointed that i opened my eyes. I don't think he wanted me alive!" He whispered back and knew at that moment i had a favourite of my own.
Duskkit nodded and I sat with the small smokey pigmented tom, engulfed in joyous conversation.
