After InNa left, it was the moment of truth for HanEul and Kang Chul can be finally alone together. Especially, when Kang Chul have so many question to ask her since she suddenly stop talk—more like stop interacting with him. Just after Kang Chul released himself from hugging her, he finally ask. "There's so many questions I want to ask you. . ." - he said and not averting away from her inviting eyes.
HanEul looked at him thoroughly into his eyes then answered, "What do you want to know?"
"Why didn't you told me your partner will be him? Or why did you kept this secret from everyone else that you can talk? I mean, all this time I really thought you were...mute." - HanEul didn't answered him right away but at least she can do is answer him his first question.
"Last time I checked, I wasn't obliged to tell you anything about my personal life. Including who I'll be getting married to." - she said as she gave him a quizzical look. By hearing that, Kang Chul chuckled in amusement.
"I guess you have a point, but I thought after knowing each other for 2 or 3 years we would've been open with each other." - he said and HanEul gave him a quick small smile.
"Well, maybe to you but I don't go on telling secrets with people that I hardly know. No offense. Even though we known each other for quite awhile now but for me that isn't enough for me to tell everything what is going on with my life." - she answered and Kang Chul nodded slowly as for an understanding on what she believes. They didn't say anything for moment and just enjoy the silence they are sharing till he ask again the question she hoped to avoid to answer.
"So, care to explain, why is it so important for you to make everyone to believe that you are mute?" - HanEul stayed quiet and deflected away his eyes. She didn't want to see those eyes that sometimes can be so dangerous. Kang Chul waited patiently for her to say something but only received the cold shoulder. He thought for a moment that maybe she didn't hear him so he repeated the question again. But, yet again, he only get that same silence.
He leaned forward so he could have better look on her face but what he gets was she turned her head away from him. Then he saw her hands that were on her knees slowly formed into a fist. Seeing her like this reminded him how was like a couple weeks ago, when HanEul would avoid any contact with him. Like how she's doing right now with her face, facing away. Kang Chul didn't like it. He doesn't want to go through that again, it made him miserable. "Please don't look away, not again." - he said with a gentle tone and HanEul can tell there was sadness with it.
She didn't gave the slightest twitch of his voice when he spoke to her like that. HanEul is determine to not let anyone know her secret even the man that is inside her living room. But the way he was pleading to her was sort of affecting her. "Please, HanEul-ah. . ." - with that kind of voice, she can sort of guessed how he was like when he was in his younger years. Maybe manipulating girls and do for his biding. And HanEul is hating herself for that because she doesn't like how it is also working on her too. To stay under control, she stood up rapidly and walked forward as her back is facing him. He still insists on what is going on through her head and the reason why she has to hide this secret from everyone else.
