You look at the enormous Ferris wheel in front of you and your stomach churns. Harry takes your hand and squeezes it lightly. "I'll be with you the whole time," he says reassuringly. You gulp and nod hesitantly. To Harry it might just look like a regular, old Ferris wheel but to you its a terrifying wheel of torture that touches the clouds.
You and Harry are now next in line. The teenage worker, who obviously does not want to be here on a Saturday night, opens the door to the cart and Harry gently pulls you inside. "You got this, Kitten," he says wrapping his arm around your waist. You take a deep breath and smile over at your boyfriend. The wheel creaks to a start and you flinch. It slowly starts escalating to the top and your heart is beating way faster then it should be. You squeeze your eyes shut and take Harry's hand. Before you know it you're almost at the very top. "Open your eyes," he tells you. "Are you crazy!?" I reply still squeezing my eyes shut. "Just do it, I promise you won't regret it," he pleads. You slowly open and gasp. The view is gorgeous. You can see the whole city from up here. "Told you so," he leans over and whispers. You let out a breathless laugh but your moment of bliss comes to an end. All of a sudden, the wheel comes to an abrupt stop, flinging you and Harry forward onto the other seat. Your eyes widen. "What the hell was that," you say, absolutely terrified. Just then you here a voice over the mega phone from below. "Please stay calm, the ride has temporarily stopped due to technical difficulties. Please stay in your seat, I repeat, please stay in your seat,"
And just your luck. You're at the very top. Your breathing becomes faster and your heart rate quickens. "Oh my gosh, we're going to die," You say gripping the seats. Harry kneels in front of you. "Hey, hey look at me," he says taking your hands. "Breathe with me," he says and you both take deep breaths until your breathing is somewhat normal. He sits down next to you and wraps you in his arms. "Don't focus on where we are, focus on me, okay," he says smoothing down your hair. You nod and hide your face in his chest. He kisses your fore head and whispers, "I love you." Nothing else mattered in that situation except the three words that just came out of Harry's mouth. Your head shoots up. "What'd you just say," you say. "Oh, erm," he says rubbing the back of his neck. He takes a deep breath and continues. "(Y/N), you mean the world to me and I've been dying to say this to you. You bring me so much happiness and I can't imagine my life without you and that's because I love you. So much," He finishes breathlessly. You're speechless. You don't say anything for a few seconds. He looks down with red cheeks. "I'm sor-," he begins to say but before he finishes, You grab his face and attach your lips. You pull away and whisper "I love you too" with a smile. He smiles widely back and kisses you again. In the middle of it, the cart jerks and you are finally descending back to the ground. "Woohoo!" You yell pumping your fists in the air and he throws his head back in laughter.
You finally reach the bottom and you quickly hop out of the cart with Harry. You've never been so happy to be on the ground. You and Harry smile at eachother and enjoy the rest of your night together as you think:
