Chapter one, The Note

Macy's POV

"Come on" I whispered, waiting for the bell to ring so I could finnally go home. I've had enough lectures to last me a life time. The bell finally rang and I started the five block long walk home.

When I got home it was dead quiet, too quiet for my house both my parents work from home.My Mom and Dad are authors I think that's how they met. I took off my backpack and put it in the entry way.

"Mom? Dad?" I said into the silence. No response. I walk into the kitchen to see a note in sloppy handwriting.

Dear Macy,

I know that your probably wondering where we are but don't worry about us. We need you to be safe which is why we wrote you this note.

They found out. And they might be coming after you which is why we need you to go to your godfather's, Hank Thunderman,we know you would rather stay with a relative that is actualy related to you. But this way they won't figure it out as easy and it will buy us the time we need. In the envelope is your birth certificate, a explanation to Hank and his wife, Barb, explaining that you will need to stay with them and their family for the time being while we intend to a family emergency for a relative outside of the country, you will need to go along with this story. Remember no one can know about you. Also in the envelope is your school transcript you will be going to Hank's kids' school there is also some money in there to help Hank pay for expenses while you stay there. Remeber to lock up the house and that know one can know about you ,lay low, act normal,and turn off your cell phone and takeout the battery it would be best if you left it here and no one can know what me and your father are actually doing not even Hank knows about it. Destroy this note once you read it and give the envelope to Hank or Barb. Their address is on the front of the envelope.

We Know this is a lot to take in and it doesn't help that this note is scatter brain but we need you to do this.

I went upstairs to pack, I grabbed two suitcases one large and one medium. I don't know how long I going to be there so I just throw all my clothes,make-up, and important things in my bags.I know I need to get out of the house fast.I rush down the stairs. According to the envelope the Thundermans live 5 towns over from my house. I look for a taxi number in a phone book. The first one I see, I call on the phone. They said they would be here in ten minutes.In that time I went upstairs and grabbed the money under my mattress I had been saving incase this did happen, I just never thought it would. There was about $500. I went back down stairs and grabbed my two suitcases and backpack just in time to see a yellow cab pull up to the curb.

I went outside and handed my suitcases to the driver while he put them in the trunk. I thanked him as I got into the car.

"Where to Miss?" he asked. I read him the address and we took off.

Once we got there I thanked him again and paid him. I watched as he drove off in to the distance. I grabbed my suitcases and wheeled them on to the porch.

"Ding Dong," rang the door bell, you could somewhat hear it through the door.Oh great no ones home, no what am I goi- my thoughts were interrupted by a door flying open.

A/n

I know this chapter is really short I will try to make the next chapters longer, I just wanted you guys to get a better taste of what the book is and what it is about. Also I will try to update as soon as I can there may be some slow updates because of school work. Please comment what your thoughts on this are I'd love to hear your feedback.
