Macy's POV
My thoughts were interrupted by a door flying open. There was a lady standing there she looked late thirties mid forties.
"Barb?" I asked.
" yes, I'm Barb and you must be, Macy?"
"Yeah, how do you know my name?"
"Your parents called me earlier in a rush telling me to expect you, and you would have an envelope for us."
"Oh yeah," I pulled the envelope out of my purse.
" Oh, how rude of me come in." Barb said
I came in, we both sat on the couch. I watched as she read over the note it only took her a minute or two, it was a short note.
" If you don't mind Hank is in the kitchen.I'm going to go talk to him about this. Why don't you just sit here and wait. Is there anything I can get you?" Barb asked heading to the kitchen.
"No, I'm good" I replied
Barb's POV
"Hank," I whispered walking in to the kitchen.
"What?" he said
"You know how your old friend, Todd, who called earlier?" I asked
"Yeah," he replied.
"Well, Macy is here and the envelope she gave me has a note from her parents asking us to watch her for a while while they are out of the country for a family emergency, and they want her to go to school with the kids." I whispered.
"What!"he whispered/yelled, " I know I lifted the non sup rule, but I don't think the kids can go for however long she going to stay here without using their superpowers."
"I know but we can't just say no she would have no where to go, not even here own house, her parents canceled everything so they wouldn't have to worry about bills whole they're gone."
"I guess your right, but if this goes wrong I'm blaming you,"He said before taking a bite out of his burger.
" Okay, I'll go show her the guess room."
Macy's POV
Barb came back into the living room with a big smile on her face." You can stay."
"Really?" I asked I didn't really expect them to say yes.
"Yeah, I'll show you the guest room, which you can stay in while your here. It's five o'clock right now, we'll probably eat dinner around 6. Hank and I can introduce you to the kids then, but right now you can unpack." She said as she lead me up the stairs to the guest bedroom.
The guest rom was pretty big, it had a full size bed, a window, a small walk in closet, and a vanity desk with a huge mirror.
"Okay, and thanks for letting me stay here."
"your welcome, I'll be downstairs making dinner in the kitchen, just say something of you need anything."she replied, then left me to unpack.
"Dinner!" I heard a guy yell, Im guessing it was Hank. 6 o'clock came really quick. As I came down the stairs I saw two teenagers fighting to get to the table first.
When I got to the table everyone was already sitting, there was one empty chair between
Barb and the teenage boy,who's name I've yet to know.
Everyone was staring at me but Hank and Barb. "Kids," Barb started, " I'd like for you to meet Macy."
"Hi I'm phoebe." The teenage girl said with a smile
"I'm Billy." A little boy, who looked about 10 years old, said really excitedly.
"Hi, I'm Nora." A girl around Billy's age greeted.
"Hi, I'm...... I'm umm I'm Max." Stuttered the cute teenage boy.
"Nice to meet you all" I replied
"Macy, is your mother and I's Godchild, and we told her parents we would watch her while they are out of the country, and during this time she'll be going to school with you guys." Hank explained
"So you guy's need to behave." Barb added on.
"Oh okay, I can show you around school on Monday" Phoebe volunteered.
"No, I can," Max said.
"No, I will besides I'm older"
"By 20 seconds," Max said as if she had no point.
"Best 20 seconds of my life," Phoebe replied and Max just rolled his eyes.
"Anyways," Hank said,"today is friday so Barb and I will enroll you over the weekend and you can start on Monday. Do you need any school supplies?" Hank asked.
"No, I don't think so. I brought my backpack that should have all the stuff I need."
"Perfect," Hank replied, " now lets eat."
