Averine's hands were shaking as she walked down the petal-covered aisle. Left and right, she saw the faces of her friends and relatives who were encouraging her to go on.

I can do this, she thought, gosh! 5 governesses weren't enough to prepare me for this kind of situation.

David pomeranz's 'on this day' continued to play in the background as Averine endured what she branded as 'the walk towards everlasting torture'. Instead of getting encouragement and inspiration from the people around her like other brides normally do, she busied hersef on examining the intricate detail of her chest-lengthed veil. After getting bored at staring at her veil, she then focused her attention on the altar, careful not to stare at the young man waiting for her. It's not that she was forced to marry him, she was just afraid that she might step on her dress or melt on the floor when she sees how handsome her future husband is in his suit.

Come to think of it, most brides forget everything else and stare at their grooms throughout the duration of their walk to the altar; not missing the chance to witness the look of love and longing from their future husband's eyes. Well, Averine is no ordinary girl. In fact, she hates anything cliche; she doesn't want to be the stereotype bride; she wants to be different.

It took them almost a year to plan her grand wedding. It was mostly because she wanted every minute detail to be perfect. Her wedding gown was made by Versace and it took about 2 months to finish it since she wanted real diamonds for the floral patterns on the lace. The cake took longer to finish since she wanted a different flavor for each of the 18 layers. Why choose only one when you can have them all?, she reasoned. Her florist was shipped from France for she is a fan of French floral arrangements; they only used white tulips and violets because she wanted a purple and white theme. The utensils to be used were made of pure gold shipped from the middle east; even the chairs were draped in purple leather, all customized to her liking. Most importantly, she had the rings made by Tiffany, both customized with their initials engraved at the back. After all, she was an only child of a rich businessman and marrying the most eligible bachelor in America.

Born to wealth, she is used to getting evrything she wants, from new fashion trends to the man she loved. People call her a spoiled, rich kid but she doesn't care at all. What matters most is that she's happy and living the luxury life.

Averine finally arrived at the altar without her father by her side. Again, she requested this to show that she's already a big girl and doesn't need her dad's permission to do what she wants. This raised many eyebrows, of course, but she argued that it was her wedding and only she can make the rules.

Railley, her groom took her right hand and assissted her towards the altar. He was quiet the opposite of Averine. While she was hot-tempered, he was calm and patient. At 23 years of age, he managed to make a name for himself in the banking industry and became the youngest multimillionaire despite his humble beginnings. Although he was rich, he was still respectful to everybody and a perfect gentleman. People even wondered how she managed to find someone like Railley after their engagement was announced. Knowing Averine's nature, they predicted the whole relationship to last for only a month. However, they actually decided to get married and the only thing that these people could think of was how unfortunate Railley was to be tied up to a brat like Averine.
