Cameron woke up in her bed the next morning. She felt awful. She tossed and turned all night unable to sleep. When she did drift off she kept seeing the scene from last night play over and over in her head. The only difference was, after the dark figure finished burying the large sack he would look up and spot her in her dream. She kept waking up at this point sweating and terrified all over again. What if he did see her. Cameron sat up in her bed grateful to see the early morning sun shining through her windows. Her body ached as she climbed out of bed. Clinging to the tree for hours had taking so much out of her. She had already decided that she had to tell her parents about the trespasser.
She spent almost an hour roaming the house before she realized that her parents were already gone for the day. It wasn't that big of a surprise, she spent almost every weekend on her own. They had golf, brunches and social events to fill their weekends. Cameron came to the kitchen feeling deflated. Taking a seat at the small staff table trying to figure out her next move Mary sat a plate of pancakes, bacon and fruit in front of her. "Are you ill, Miss Cameron?" The housekeeper asked. "Couldn't sleep. Have you seen my parents Mary?" Cameron asked. "No, they never sat down for breakfast this morning Miss Cameron. They must of had a very early meeting." She answered as she hurried over to start cleaning the dishes.
"Lexi, can you come over?" Cameron practically yelled the moment she picked up the phone. "Like, right now? I can't, I have to go to my brothers baseball game. I can probably come over when it's over." Lexi said sounding bored. She hated baseball but she didn't mind seeing Mark every Saturday. He was her older brother Jason's best  friend. She has had a crush on him for six months now and to Lexi it was only a matter of time before Mark noticed her.
"You will never believe what happened yesterday. I was out in the woods and someone was out there, burying something...strange." Cameron started telling her. " When you come I want you to come out there and help me dig up what ever is out there. I'm to scared to do it alone." "Really?!" Lexi squealed unable to contain her excitement. To her this was exciting. That's why I loved her. She was so much braver then I was. Where I see danger, she saw possible Snapchat worthy moments. "Okay, I'll try to hurry, I promise!" Lexi said giddy at the thought of having an unexpected adventure.  "K, see you soon!" Cameron said hanging up her phone. "Okay, that's the plan then. When Lexi gets here, we are going to figure out what he left out there." Cameron said out loud to herself. She can't chicken out now because Lexi won't let her. "Maybe I should bring my pepper spray, just in case" she added as she felt the reality of what she was going to do start to sink in.
