Chapter 8

Nessa's pov

After getting our nails done, I went on my phone to get a good snapchat of it but as I unlocked my phone I saw 2 text messages from the unknown number that said:

You know me

What happened, why won't you reply

I replied back "I am not joking seriously tell me who you are?"

I showed my friend the unknown number just in case she knew it and someone was pulling a prank on me but she didn't know it either.

Nessa: I should probably call this person

Laur: No you shouldn't Nessa, what if it's a scam or something bad I don't want you to undergo and trouble or problem

(still Nessa's pov)

I didn't completely agree with Laur's opinion but I wouldn't disagree either, what if it's a scam or something or what if it's one of my old friends who got a new number and is trying to prank me.

So as I reached home I wasn't surprised to see Addison over, so I grabbed a bag of chips from the pantry and went into my room because I didn't want to disrupt their "romantic movie" time.

As I was going through twitter, a new message from another unknown number popped up, I quickly replied "hey" back cuz the person only wrote ''hey'' but I also added "do I know you" and then our texts went on like:

Unknown number: yes you know me, I'm Erick remember me from the mall today Laur gave me your number

Me: Oh Erick, I'm glad you remembered me

I waited for his text but he didn't reply for another 5 minutes

So I texted Laur making sure she was the one who gave him my number

Me: Hey Laur, did you pass on my number to Erick?

Laur: Yes Nessa, I did, he was asking for it

Me: Why would he ask for it though?

Laur: Did I do a mistake by giving him without your permission, are you mad at me Nessa?

Me: No Laur why would I be mad at you I'm glad you gave him but ask me from next time

Laur: okay got it

**two hours later**

So I've been catching up on my favourite show since the past two hours and I've realized that Roni texted me that she might be going out for dinner today well I guess I would have to eat dinner by myself today because of Roni is going to eat outside and our parents are on a business trip.

So I end up calling Alex over and ordered pizza and watched a movie, there is this little spark about Alex that makes me happy, don't know why but I feel l more like myself when I am around him and I feel happy.

So we ended up watching a movie and eating and played games when Roni came home and joined us in our game and Addison joined too.

So I had this sudden idea of playing the " Lie detector challenge" where we would have a lie detector machine and would be asked a question if we tell the truth nothing would happen but if we tell a lie we would be shocked on our hand because you would have your hand inside the detector.

We started the game, ten minutes into the game I didn't get shocked even once cause I only had two turns yet but on my third turn Alex asks "Nessa do you like someone currently"

I reply with "no I do not like anyone currently" but I got shocked on this answer and everyone started asking me who do I like but the truth is I do not know whom do I like.

Alex's pov

When Nessa got shocked on my question, I do not know why there was a small part of me that was happy to know the result, I just don't know why. It gave me weird but good feeling that it could be someone she knows closely for a long time because sometimes you start liking someone whom you know for a long time in a romantic way.

As we proceeded on the game it was Nessa's turn to ask Addison a question and she asked: "Addison do you truly love Roni?"

By now an annoyed and nervous look formed on Roni's face like she was mad and scared at the same time.

But Addison looked confident, he didn't have any nervousness on his face just a long smile on his face as he answered, " yes I truly love Roni."

Roni, Nessa and I both had a curious look on our face while there was Addison not even a small bit of nervousness on his face, the lie detector machine was taking a bit too long, and that usually happens when the person is lying but who knows if he is lying or not.
