That terrific night, the thunder roared and the lightning flashed, I sat there, in a trance-like-state, then, the fire-bells rang loudly and pierced my ears. I could hear the tiny pitter-patter of feet and frightened shrieks of the scared children running down the corridor, I just sat there, still in a trance. Suddenly a fire burst in through my door, I screamed and tried to smash my window down, but it was too late-the fire had reached me, the flames were coming closer and closer and the thick, black smoke was getting lower and lower, until it reached out for my head and swallowed me in one massive gulp...

The next thing I knew was that I was in a coma in hospital, I could hear worried voices asking if I was gonna be alright, the nurse quietening them and talking calmly back whispering that I just needed a big surprise of some kind to wake me up. Then I could hear the shuffle of feet as they all went out of the door-apart from one person, i could hear a soft sobbing sound coming from the corner of the room, i tried to open my eyes and say to them, whoever it was, that I'd be alright-but I couldn't move or open my eyes-it was like a dream where I was stuck and I could't get out at all, no matter how much I tried, sometimes, i would try to scream but it never worked. this wasn't just a dream, it was a nightmare that i couldn't get out of...
