Kurt was working the register at Macy's today and so was his friend, Ella. She was running the other register but they were talking since no one was coming in at the moment.
"So, what happened with you and Blaine?" She asked.
"We just snuggled and watched a movie. Nothing else." Kurt let out a big breathe.
"Well you better tell him about your feelings soon. I don't wanna see you sad, it makes me sad."
"I can't. What if it ruins our friendship? What if he moves out? What if he hates-"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa," she interrupted. "These 'What If's' can go on for a while. Anyways, I'll be here to support you. Everything you go through. Heartbreak, relationships-" she got interrupted by the bell that rang every time someone walked in. It was an average height guy, built well, light brown hair that is cut short, and chocolatey brown eyes.
"Welcome to Macy's." Ella said and looked back over to Kurt.
"Thanks." His voice soft and sweet sounding.
"He's cute." She whispered.
"I know right." Kurt whispered back.
"He might be gay, ask him."
"Girl, no! What if he ain't! I'll just embarrass myself!"
"Well when he comes to the register maybe he'll give you his phone number. If not then make sure you get it before he leaves." Ella winked at Kurt.
About 10 minutes later, the mysterious guy came up to the register with some ripped jeans, pair of socks, and a couple of shirts.
"Hello there, you find everything you need?" Kurt said while he scanned the items in the bag.
"Yes I did," he smiled. "I like you hair."
"Thanks," Kurt blushed. "I like yours too." Kurt scanned the pair of socks.
"How long have you been living here?"
"In New York?"
"Yeah." He half smirked.
"Almost two years."
"Oh, I just moved here. About two weeks ago. I've met some people so far but I'd like to get to know you better. Can I like, um," his face started turning red and you could tell the shyness in his face. "Your phone number?"
Kurt chuckled, "Of course, lemme see your phone." The still mysterious adorable guy gave Kurt his phone and he put in his number. "Can you put yours in my just in case?"
"Sure," Kurt handed him his phone and waited for him to finish. "I didn't quite catch your name?"
"Kurt, Kurt Hummel." He smiled.
"Nice to meet you Kurt, Kurt Hummel. I'm Declan, Declan Connelly." He said mocking Kurt.
"Ooh, I love that name," Kurt smiled and put all the items in the bag. "I like your style. Maybe we can hangout later today? I get off at 3 so I'm," he checked the clock. "An hour I'll be off. I'll text you?"
"Sure."
"Your total is, $12.89." Declan handed him the money and smiled.
"Well, see you 'round, Kurt." He saluted and sauntered out of the store.
Ella came up from behind him, nearly giving him a heart attack. "I heard the whole thing! He's so into you!"
"Geez!" Kurt grabbed at his heart. "Don't scare me like that!"
