I paced back and forth nervously hoping that they wouldn't call my name.

"Lily you're up next." Crap. I brushed my tall ugg boots up to the front of the classroom, shuffling the notecards in my hand. I softly cleared my throat and began my presentation on World War ll.

I was presenting, but my mind was floating off into a deep epiphany of thoughts. My thoughts floated around like they were drifting in an ocean, drowning to the deep depths of my dark world. My mom left me when I was 3, and my dad was too busy with work to even notice me. My brother constantly annoyed me and wasn't really someone I could build a relationship with.  The only person I had was my roomate and best friend Katie.

My pale skin and blond tangly hair weren't the prettiest, and my dull blue eyes weren't the greatest. I didn't really fit in here. I was just waiting to get it over with and leave college. As my mind circled with these thoughts, my presentation somehow stumbled along.

Suddenly the door creaked open and short black boots clicked as they stepped into the fluorescent lighted classroom.

"You must be Lia--I mean Will. You must be Will its nice to meet you." Mr. Hillway stuttered.

"Ya that's me. Sorry I'm late." He apologized flashing a quick smile.

"Come here I have some papers that were handed out at the beginning of class." Mr. Hillway said, jerking his hand to motion Will over. Will walked past me, his shoulder colliding into mine. As his shoulder hit mine it jerked my whole arm, sending the notecards nervously settled in my hands flying. They scattered across the marble floor.

"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to do that." He sympathetically apologized with a smile. His hair was a dark almost black brown and his hair was gelled back. He had deep brown eyes and a gray hoodie that hid most his face making him hard to see. Overall, he looked extremely good looking.

As I bent down to pick up the notecards he bent down too to help. As I reached I accidentally reached towards his arm and his sweatshirt sleeve rolled up. There was a black arrow tattoo stacked up his forearm in a chevron pattern. He looked into my eyes and saw me admiring it, then nervously pulled it down.

He handed me my notecards and rushed towards Mr. Hillway. He handed him his papers and he ran towards the quickest desk. With a strange feeling of butterflies in my stomach, I continued on with my presentation, feeling a lot more nervous before. I didn't know anything about Will, but I knew that I wanted to know more.
