Don't break my heart

Chapter 4

Jungkook stayed by Chorong's side like how Jimin did, friends seem to be very similar to each other.

"Chorong-ah, are you feeling okay? Can I do anything for you?" or "is there something wrong?" is always what he's asking her but she doesn't mind.

"Jungkook-ah, why do you stay by my side?" Chorong finally asked. Getting drenched in the rain better not be the reason. "I don't know, but you seem like someone who needs someone by her side" Jungkook answered with a smile.

Chorong sighed and smiled at him "You know Jungkook, my experience with boys are not very good. I hope you'll understand if I'm not that open to you". Jungkook nodded "I'm fine with that, Jimin hyung told me what happened. I hope he didn't hurt your feelings". Chorong nodded so he told him I confessed to him.

"So how was your other experiences with guys?" Jungkook asked. "My first boyfriend thought I cheated on him when I didn't and he gave me a reminder of that day he dumped me. I still have it, I want to destroy it but I can't. My well, I'd like to call him my second boyfriend, was with another girl behind my back and said it was just a dare. You know what happened with Jimin" Chorong said.

Jungkook sighed and held her hand "Why did your boyfriend think you cheated on him?" he asked. "I was hanging out with my guy friends and when one of them gave me a friendly hug, my boyfriend got mad" Chorong explained and Jungkook nodded.

The way Chorong was telling Jungkook everything made her comfortable with him, she liked the feeling.

Jungkook stayed with her, longer than she thought. She expected Jungkook to come running to her with a smile on his face to tell her that he got a girlfriend but that day never came. He was being a good friend to her.

Jimin and Taehyung suddenly went back into her life. Jimin still apologized for rejecting her and Taehyung was asking for a second chance. Chorong began texting the words:

Chorong: No second chance, we can just be friends though. It will be better that way.

They both became one of her friends, no more romantic feelings for either of them and as Chorong's feelings for Jungkook kept developing, she told Jimin. Jimin ,even though he is Jungkook's friend, listened to her and told her how Jungkook acts when she's not there.

But Chorong didn't want to confess, as days passed and they kept getting closer, Chorong kept getting even more shy.

Why? Because Jungkook's other friends always teased her when she's around with her and Jungkook. Days keep passing and she gets more and more shy.

Until one day, she just gave up. "Jungkook-ah" she called out to him. "Hm?" he faced her. "Look, I'm feeling a bit awkward with you now. It's difficult to talk to you now that your friends are always around" she said and glanced at his friends that were sitting a few benches away from them.

Chorong stood up and said "I'm going home". "I'll walk y-" "It's okay, I can go by myself" Chorong said. "I know you like me" Jungkook said before she walked away. "Jimin hyung told me I had a chance with you" Jungkook continued. Chorong looked back at him grinning from ear-to-ear.

Chorong smiled and Jungkook walked towards her. "I was thrilled to know you liked me" Jungkook said and gave her a bear hug. Chorong tried to hug back but something felt wrong, slowly, her hands embraced his back and she hugged him back.

Suddenly, there was a pain in her chest that she had let go of Jungkook that she fell to the ground with her hand on her chest. Jungkook's expression turned worried "Chorong! What's wrong?". Then a light flashed before her eyes again "I'm not going to let you break this curse" said a voice and tears were flowing out of Chorong eyes as she shook her head. She was finally happy but here she was, suffering.

The pain was too much for her to handle, she couldn't breathe. Chorong was now gasping for air so Jungkook called an ambulance and while they were in the ambulance, Chorong fainted because of the pain.

They arrived at the hospital a few minutes later and the doctors were rushing to a room. Chorong's heartbeat was still stable and Jungkook ran along with the doctors. Until they reached two big doors and the doctors stopped Jungkook from going with them.

Jungkook stayed put in the waiting room until Bomi arrived. "Where's Chorong unnie?" Bomi asked Jungkook looking really tired. "She's in the emergency room" Jungkook said still looking at his feet. "What the hell happened?!" Bomi yelled.

Jungkook flinched at Bomi's loud voice "we were just talking then she held her chest like it was painful then fell to the ground". Bomi sighed and sat beside him "I hope she's okay" she said. She held her forehead in frustration since she was the only person that knew about Chorong's ex Suho and her curse.
