Chapter 7

It's been a week since the accident, Jasmins better now. Jai won't let her do anything, he's so cute! Nikisha and Luke decided to not date but stay friends. But everyone's being really cool about it all. I actually have a date with James later, but I don't want to leave Jasmin but she insists and promises Jai will look after her. I know he will, but I'm so awkward when it comes to boys and feelings. I'm excited because Ciara will be here tonight but even she's making me go.
They all help me get ready for when James comes. I end up wearing cropped blue skinny jeans, a crop top and a denim jacket.
James arrives at 7:00. He says he's not gonna tell me where we're going but too bring some blankets. We leave, Jai, Jasmin and Nikisha tease us and wave us off. James puts some music on in the car as we drive to a little beach. He parks up and gets the blankets and picnic basket from the back. I go to help him and we sit down in a cute little spot where we're hidden, but we can see the sunset. The sand is golden and the ocean is a memorising blue. The benches and palm trees behind us are casting shadows. He opens the basket and takes out a takeaway bag. I laugh. "What? Rather the takeaway than me cook and leave you puking everywhere" he laughs. "hmm true, best you got the takeaway then."
This is perfect, we eat, laugh and watch the sun go down. James looks at me and says "it's getting kinda cold, wanna go sit in the car and put a movie on?"
"yes please haha" I chuckle.
We pack everything up and walk to the car. He puts on the movie as we lay the seats back, he pulls me closer. Playing with the ends of my hair, I look up at his perfect face and his big brown eyes. He stares back and puts my face in his hands and leans in. Then it happened. HE KISSED ME AGAIN! So the first time couldn't have been an accident? It lasted for what felt like forever, it was wow. Just the best feeling ever. I've got butterflies, my lips tingle as we kiss. He pulls back and says, "this was amazing, you're amazing." I blush and nudge his arm, "shouldn't we be getting back home? Ciara will be here" I giggle. "yeah, let's go babe" he says and gives me a peck on the lips.
As we slowly walk to my door, holding hands. He turns me around so we're face to face, wraps his arms around my waist and our eyes lock and he does his cute crooked side smile making me melt. I put my arms around his neck and just as we about to lean in and kiss my door opens. We pull apart in shock and there's Ciara and Beau laughing their heads off. I completely forgot about the awkwardness and run to Ciara and give her a bear hug, my bestfriend is finally here. "We have so much to catch up on!" I say.
"Yeah, we do" she laughs, looking James up and down.
