Chapter 5 Training

The next morning I wake up early.

My dreams were scattered and pretty messed up.

It is five in the morning and I can't sleep. So I get up and look threw some clothes Raven gave to me. Luckily she gave me a sleeveless red top with a low back line so I could spread my wings. I also pull on some jeans and put my hair in a side braid. I look in the mirror and concentrated to make my hair blonde with brown streaks. Then I make my eyes blue.

"There now I look cliche," I joke to myself. Then I make myself back to normal.

My stomach then decide to growl loudly.

"I guess I can make breakfast," I mutter to myself and find my way to the kitchen.

When I get there I start making bacon and eggs for everyone.

It took an hour so by the time I was finished it is six. I sit down and start eating with a cup of hot chocolate.

"You made breakfast?" Sean asks walking in around six thirty.

"Yep help yourself if it needs heating hand it to me," I reply and point to the stack of food.

"Thanks." Sean pile. food onto a plate and hands it to me. I make a small flame in my hand and hold it over the food.

"Here." I hand the plate back to him.

"Your super cool," Sean compliments and sits across from me. He promptly starts shoveling food into his mouth.

Alex soon wanders in and sits down next to Sean with a plate of hot food thanks to me. Alex doesn't talk at all coming in. So it is an awkward silence.

"Soooooo," I start.

"How is everyone?" Sean asks and smiles.

"Fine," Alex mutters.

"Great thanks for asking," I answer and get up to wash my plate and cup. "So how is training? I guess I have to start today."

"Good I almost got it," Alex says and actually cracks a half smile.

"Me too Hank made a suit that will allow me too fly I just haven't mastered it," Sean adds and beams.

"Cool. I guess I'm a little behind," I say sheepishly.

"Hey you'll catch up," Sean encourages.

"Thanks." I nod towards Sean.

Then Charles and Moira stroll in together.

"Good morning how did everyone sleep?" Charles inquires while serving himself some food. I hold a small fire above it to heat it up then did the same with Moira.

"Fine," Alex grumbles his attitude immediately deteriorating. He must feel angry at Charles because of what I said.

"Good," Sean responds and smiles. I notice Seam almost always wears a smile. Charles looks at me waiting for my answer.

"Truth is I don't sleep well when I sleep everyone's thoughts bombard me," I answer honestly and shrug.

"Ohh." Charles smile fades. Alex looks worried so does Sean.

Then Erik and Raven join us disrupting the awkwardness.

Soon everyone is happily eating and chatting. Alex and I seem like the only quiet ones.

"So today you start training Rina," Charles says and nods at me.

"I can't wait," I say truthfully.
