Disavowed. Lost my powers. Rejected from Olympus. All because of a stupid fight with Helios. I shot him with an arrow after learning of his part in the plot to kill my mother. That was 10 years ago.
Standing on the edge, looking down on Delphi, I stood in a reverie.
"You always know where to find me brother" I said as he landed, his cap and shoes glistening in the moonlight.
"It is my job to find people" he replied, "and you Apollo, are no exception"
"Well what do you want Hermes? You know I can't do anything anymore!"
"It's Helios" he said grievingly, "your wanted in the Castle of the Sun"
"You know I can't do that" I said gravely "I can't find my way ever since I was disavowed"
He walked towards me and put his hand on my shoulder. "Go to the land of the Far East and there in the high mountains you will find the glittering palace of the Sun."
"I will need my bow and quiver if I am to go anywhere, and my armor would be nice"
"I can get you a bow and a quiver, but no armor, your personal equipment is locked up in Father Zeus' bedroom."
"In that case I need to contact Prometheus; he's the only one who’s made it in and out of there alive."
"Last time I saw him, Hephaestus had chained him to a mountain in the Caucasus range."
I began to walk away.
"Wait, only a fool would go in unarmed!" my brother yelled
So I stopped walking, and began to run. Thinking back, that was probably one of the biggest mistakes I made on this trip.

Disavowed: The Story of Apollo
AdventureA Short-Story about the Greek God Apollo who has lost his god status after a fight with Helios. He spends the story trying to get back to the Castle of the Sun and make up with Helios. This is my weak attempt at a story vs. poetry. Comments welcome!
