POV: ANNABELLA
I looked at the TV, as shocked as the prince. My mom screamed, the parties on. I ran to my room. I grabbed my pillow and screamed in it. Between sobs and screams I fell asleep. The door barged open, I opened my eyes. "Darling, there are one-hundred guest down stairs and you think you can rest? Get up! Get dressed. I want to see you down stairs and in ten minutes. Do you hear me?"my mother screamed. I looked up and nodded. Lisa came over and helped me get ready. I was thrown in a sea green dress that went down with a little poof. It had short sleeves. I looked like a queen. For finishing touches Lisa added a silver crown. I looked at it. "No, I don't need a crown," I instructed. Lisa laughed. "Of course you don't need it, or any dresses or makeup. Your mother makes you wear it. What you need is serious sleep, comfy pajamas, and hot chocolate," Lisa stated. I looked at her and a horrid thought came to my mind.

"Okay, you're almost ready,"I said as I zipped up the dress. I decided that tonight, Lisa will go with me. She was wearing a midnight blue dress that was straight down. Her hair was in elegant curls. Her makeup was light. She should be going to the selection.

We walked down stairs together. Cheers and claps errupted. My mom turned to see me. Her eyes wided, she fainted. Only one person ran over to help my mother and that was James. Trying to impress me was all he ever did. If he wanted to impress me he would have laughted then go help my mom out of guilt. I turned me attention to Lisa. "It's going to be an awesome party!" I excitedly exclaimed. She nodded in approval. I decided to go rebel. I blasted some music, whatever was on the radio. Everyone started dancing and laughing. In the back of my mind was tomorrow. My mother is going to kill me, or worse, make me read magazines all day. Although, at the front of my mind was the words to the lyrics, and the fun and joy I was feeling. Lisa was having a blast and she looked gorgeous.

Halfway through the party James found me. "Hey Annabella, if you leave the selection, I want you to find me. I want to show you that maybe I'm different. Maybe there's more in me than you see. But most importantly I want to give you advice. Don't go into the selection like your mom would want you to. Go in as you, don't take Crap from anyone but keep your cool. Don't do anything rash, and it's ok if you don't choose the Prince. But most importantly have fun, meet people. Ok?" he finished. I nodded surprised that something so smart could come out of his mouth. "Ok James. Thanks," I replied. Since I didn't have a care in the world I partied like no other and for once I felt free. Tonight was a success, tomorrow well, the thought of it is just depressing.

"Annabella, come here right this instant!" my mom screamed as I woke up. "It's five o'clock in the morning, what do you want?" I mumbled as I grudgingly got out of bed. I walked the doorway where she was standing. "You and I have very different view of a good party. When you're having a party in my house you do what I want," she stated. She whacked me on the cheek. It stung like a burn. "That is for inviting Lisa. This for turning on inappropriate music for a floor length dress party," she said as she smacked me again on the face in the same place. "And last of all, this is for not being the perfect child I've always wanted!" she screamed as she whacked me harder in the same spot. She walked away. I ran to the he kitchen and got an ice pack from the freezer and pressed it against my face. This was going to be a long week with my rebelling plan.
