Ch. 6 Wait, We're Being Sent Where?

Hola, my name is Skylnn Lyre. I have light brown hair and blue grey eyes, and am five foot four. And I love animals. So you can guess how happy I was  about that blessing.  Any way, we were on Olympus and Zeus had some interesting news for us after we were turned into demigods.  "Now that you all are demigods, and two of you demigods of the big three, Pheobe and Gryffin. And know you are demigods, your going to attract monsters." Hera told us. Lovely, I'm a freakin monster magnet now! I did not sign up for that! I thought.   

    "But ... we are going to provide you with weapons." Ares announced rather happily for some reason(God of war go figure!).  Zeus went first "Gryfinn, please come forward." Finn obeyed his new adoptive father. Zeus handed him a ring made of some sort of bronze a well crafted realistic eagle head lay on the band of the ring. "Tap it." Zeus instructed him. Fwoosh! a three foot long sword appeared with an eagle head at the hilt, he tapped it and it returned to a ring. "Whoa." he stared at it in awe "Thank you, Lord Zeus." Gryfinn bowed and took his place next to me.

   "Skylnn, will you please step forward." it was Artemis. And being that I I was curious, I obliged. She handed me a silver and bronze cuff bracelet I pressed the hind in the center. And just like that I had a cross bow with infinite arrows strapped to my arm. "Thanks mom." I curtsied she smiled. "Well, I suppose I'm going to have to get used to that now aren't I?" she chuckled. Then I sat back down by Gryfinn. 

    Then Athena stepped forward "Orwynn, would you please come here." he walked over to where she was. She gave him a grey leather band bracelet with an golden owl coin in it. He just touched it gentlely and it turned in to a golden spear. "Mind boggling, huh." Athena laughed looked at his face, she touched the owl coin at the head of the spear and it was back to normal. He thanked her and sat down next to me.

 "Pheobe." called Poseidon calmly. Phee was happy to come forward. He handed her a bronze mermaid cameo bracelet faced with sea shells. She tapped the mermaid and a full sized trident appeared in her hand with the cameo on the shaft, which she tapped again to return it to bracelet mode. "I hope this trident brings you good will, and if your new brother gets jealous just summon a wave." Poseidon told her a mischievous but small smile on his face. And to Poseidon's surprise she hugged him "Thank you." she whispered as he hugged her back, then came and sat back down next to Rider.

  "Lucian." Hephaestus had been working on something while the others had gotten their gifts. Lucian walked over to him. Hephaestus handed him a brown leather bracelet with a crane coin imbedded in it. He circled his finger around the coin and it turned into a four foot long bronze sledgehammer. At the head was the coin he circled his finger the other way around. "Works for forging pretty well to." Hephaestus informed him. "I'll have to try it some time." He smiled and sat back down by Ezzy.

   "Ezmeralda." called Hecate, Ezzy hurried up not wanting to waste her time. Hecate smiled and handed her a bronze ring with a realistic raven head upon it. She tapped the beak and it turned into a bronze wand. She tapped the beak at the handle and it returned to a ring. "Thank you Hecate, I'll take good care of it." "That Ezmeralda, I don't doubt." she smiled proudly.

   "Iereen." she scurried up to Aphrodite pretty quickly. Whom presented her with a rose gold bracelet with a crystalline rose a top it. Ree flicked her wrist and a rose gold sword with a rose quartz rose hilt appeared in her hand. She flicked her wrist again. "Fashionable yet deadly... I like it." Ree told her with satisfaction. "I thought would." Aphrodite winked.

"Rider." Hermes asked him to come forth. He went up to Hermes, whom  and handed him  a leather cuff with a winged shoe medallion embedded into it. Rider pressed a wing and it turned into a gold Sword with a wing handle guard. He close the wings and it was back to a cuff. "Cause some mischief for me, okay?" "Can do Hermes." Rider smiled deviously.

   "Now we must send you to Camp Half-Blood. So one, you can learn to use those gifts and your powers. Your weapons however will always return to you." Demeter told us . And before you could think We're being sent where ?  We were transported off Olympus and to the Long Island Sound.
