We stopped and another piano key sounded again louder and more harmful. I grabbed my head at the painful sound of a loud violin solo. We dropped to the floor. I couldn't stand it. I looked to see where the horrible noise was coming from to find a guy in a really tight beige sweater hoodie and saggy black jeans. His ripped arms showed through his sleeves as did his chest and abs. He had stylish black hair and beige bangs. The beige spikes in his eyes seemed to glow. He looked a little like D.O. from EXO-K.
"Decibel, nice to meet you." He smiled slyly. A guitar strum sounded as he shimmered away and then next to me on the messy floor. He stroked his hand on my cheek. 'My, aren't you handsome." Sky pushed him away from me with a quick gust but Decibel just smiled. "Jealous?" He teased. That made Sky mad.
He sprinted towards the guy but stopped at the sound of a trumpet as he held up his hand. He crouched down next to me petting my hair.
"Dr. might let let me keep you." He laughed.
The red wasps attacked him. I jumped to my feet.
"Don't touch me!" I dug my glowing fist into his abs. He flew back into the wall. Then he looked at me and gave me a bloody smile.
"Fiesty!" He shot a sound wave at me and I flew back too. "You know, our powers aren't that different. They both deal with wave frequencies. So? Let's play." He laughed getting out of the wall and wiped off his sweater.
I got back up and sprinted at him. He grabbed me and pulled me toward him. I squirmed in his grip. He let go at the stinging of the wasps.
"Pesky insects." He held up his hand and they burst into the red smoke that they were made of. "Silent frequency," he told me. "I could teach you that." He gave me a sad look.
Pink rushed passed me screaming and turned into a red panther, so the scream turned into a roar. He clawed at Decibel then turned into himself but his attack missed as the big guy dodged the claw. Although he missed with a claw, he jabbed him in the jaw with a punch. He stumbled back smiling. Blood dripped from his mouth. He wiped it away.
He shimmered at the strum of guitar strings, and appeared, arms around me, kissing my neck with warm lips. I shook him off and wiped my neck. That's when Sky furiously slammed him to the floor, got over him, and started to rapidly dig his fists into his face grunting angrily. I watched in shock. He didn't stop until Decibel was unconscious.
He got up from the guy and made his way towards me, keeping his eye on him. Pink also got to my side.
Another scream.
"It's coming from upstairs!" More wasps filled the hall again. Pink ran the stairs as we followed until we got to the fourth floor. We stopped panting and looked up at the active chopper. We teleported up to the roof as it flew further from us.
"Sharon!" Pink screamed, tears in his eyes.
"Come find us!" We remembered that voice.
"Dr. Dark!" I turned expecting to see him but Decibel stood in his place holding a walkie-talkie. He smiled at me, his face swollen, as the Dr. continued.
"Carsbad Caverns, New Mexico." He said in his eerie tone. "Tomorrow. I've got your bus tickets." He laughed and that was it.
Decibel threw the tickets at our feet. He mouthed, "I love you." and blew me kiss then shimmered away at the strum of guitar strings.
"Disgusting." I scrunched my face in a displeased feature as Sky growled and Pink sobbed.
