Our first words -Zanvis

"Hey Zane" a new and unwanted voice said. Zane stopped dead in his tracks as if all the blood in his body froze. Travis stopped as well to look at the person and waved at them.

"Oh, hey Gene" Travis said casually. Gene and Travis made small talk for a minute but Zane refused to speak.

"So, where are you two heading off to anyways?" Gene said with a grin.

"Oh! We're just going home actually. Me and Zane were just hanging out at the mall."

"Wow Zane! Great to know your getting to know more people!" This was strange. Yeah, sure, Gene's a better person now but there was still this tone in his voice that made Travis question that. Especially now when Zane was acting so- out of it. And Zane, the person who had been silent this entire time finally spoke up when Gene slid his hand around Zane's waist.

"L-let go of me!" Zane almost yelled, pushing himself away from Gene. He hid behind Travis, who decided it was probably a good time to leave. The white haired boy turned to his other, grabbed his hand and began walking home, once again. Neither of them wasted a moment looking back at the former-Shadow Knight.

Once they were back at Zane's home Travis let go of Zane and said goodbye and turned to leave, but was halted by a hand grasping his own. Travis looked back at Zane.

"Stay, please" he muttered and in response Travis smiled and nodded. They went inside and up to Zane's room without saying a word, but as soon as the door was closed Zane had found himself in Travis' arms, sobbing. He had even taken off his mask because it was making it hard to breath. Travis stood there with Zane, rubbing his back to comfort him.

That little action Gene did had brought back very bad memories Zane had tried to forget. If Travis hadn't been there to help him, Gene probably would have kept trying and Zane might have started crying then and there. The last thing Zane wanted was to show Gene that he was still afraid of him, but for Gene it was the exact opposite.

After a while, Zane had calmed down and his breathing had was steady. Travis still continued to rub circles on his back.

"Do you want to talk about it?" He said softly. Zane shook his head.

Travis already had an idea of why this happened though. Everyone knew about how much Zane wanted to join the Shadow Knights as well as that him and Gene had dated. It was a very unhealthy relationship, but to think that still effected him today, years in the future, hurt Travis. He didn't want that to happen to Zane ever again and Travis was afraid he would do that to Zane.

Why does everything have to be so complicated!

Maggie: I know some people might be confused because I said nobody knew if Zane was gay and now I'm saying everyone knows, well let me explain. After Gene and Zane dated, Zane never dated anyone ever again so everyone assumed that Zane was still figuring out who he was and was never actually gay in the first place. Ta-da! There you have it! Also sorry this was a short chapter but I think adding anything to it would ruin the feeling of what happened.
