My name is Sam, short for Samantha. Isa akong transferee student dito sa Lana Advanced International School, a grade 8 student.
I moved in two years ago. Well, except for the times I had to break the rules and run for my life. But, that was a year ago, when I was a freshman.
Other than that, nothing really excited me anymore.
Me and my family migrated here in Saudi Arabia, three years ago. I was around 11 years old nung kinailangan kong dalhin papunta dito yung dalawa kong kapatid.
Imagine having foreigners looking at you with that look they give when they judge you. God. Remembering their facial expressions, I get goosebumps.
Saudi Arabia is not really the perfect country for LUCKY-GO-HAPPY type of people. The country's security grounds is tight as it can be. Your ass would be in trouble if they caught you cheating on your husband with another guy you don't have any relation to.
Bata, matanda, and the working class.
Abaya is a type of cloth worb by women ages from 7 to the senior citizen's class. Kulay itim siya na parang over-all tignan kasi buong katawan mo sakop nito. Although it's annoying to wear it, especially, in the Summer time. God, you'd be sweating if you wore a thick clothing inside plus the Abaya. It's really a pain in the ass if you get to experience it.
Pero, nonetheless, KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) has some pretty fair benefits along with it.
Halimbawa, if you're a foreigner, a woman and a Muslim, you would be respected by every men around you. Saudi women or women in general, here in Saudi, are, you can consider, the gem and diamonds of the land. The country is peaceful and quiet.
Saudi Arabia is not a terrorist country. Ya'll got wrong ideas about this beautiful and majestic nation.
"Anak, pakitapon nga 'yung naiwan kong kalat sa basurahan. Aalis lang kami ng papa niyo sandali!" Tawag ni Mama galing kwarto. "Opo! Andyan na ho!" I dropped my phone for a second and went to the kitchen to do as she says.
My mother, age 37, is a pharmacist/stockroom manager, in a hospital nearby our home.
Dad added.
I sighed.
My father, age 37, is a medical representative of some company related to my mother's workplace.
I have two small brothers, Franco and Kevin. An average, happy looking family, I must say.
At, masaya ako. Dati, we used to live with our uncles and aunties.
But, it's just that I want to be with my own family, happily living under one roof.
And it happened. Ngayon, magkakasama na kami. I was so happy nung narinig ko 'yung magandang balita. Agad-agad akonh naghanda ng gamit. Haha.
I love my life right now.
Me, my family and this beautiful and quiet country. Ano pa bang mahihiling ko?
