Elementalist

chapter 1

"Are you ready to go?"my father asks me. And all I do is nod my head.. We were getting ready to go to school for kids like me. Kids with special abilities like me. Kids who can shift and control elements. The moment I was born I was chosen to have powers. Not everyone has elemental or shifting abilities. But those who could had to keep it to themselves. Like me. I was a rare breed. I was a rare breed not because I had one ability but I had all of them. I can control the elements, & I could shift. My mother could shift, my father could control the elements.

When we packed my bags into the car we headed out. It was half an hour ride or so when we were finally reached our destination when we pulled up into the clearing that was supposed to be the school. I didn't see anything but woods and a few kids standing next to two trees that had made a door. " Well were here what do you think?" My dad asks as I was getting out of the car.

"Da'ad there's nothing here!" I said to him like he was dumb but of course I knew he wasn't.

" Yes there is just go through those trees!" He said pointing to the trees with the door. A minute later I hug him and told him that I was going to miss him and to tell mom I was going to miss her too we hug for a minute longer and then I picked up my suitcases and walked in between the the trees.

When I got to the other side of the wall made of trees I gasped and drop my luggage as I saw the school. It was at least 50 stories tall and had the most beautiful fountain in front of it it was a fountain of a wolf with water coming out of its mouth. It was the most magnificent thing I've ever seen in my entire life. When I dropped them I just as quickly picked them up and ran inside to the office.

I walked into the office and was met a woman and her late twenties. "How may I help you young lady?" She asked in her high but yet not high voice.

"I n-need my schedule." I said as I put my hand on the sandstone counter top.

" Well of course honey, name?"

" Rachel reinstall." I said with a stutter.

"Rachel...Rachel...Rachel. let's see you must be here somewhere. Hmm... oh here you are." She says handing me a packet of papers.

"What's all this?" I ask her.

" Are you feeling alright it's a map. The school is huge if you haven't seen it from the outside." She says all worried sounding.

"Yah just not thinking clearly today I have so much to do yet." I say walking out of the office.

I wanted to check my room and I saw my room was on the fifth floor. I went to the elevators is the button up but it didn't work. So I took the stairs to the fifth floor. When I looked my room it was on the left side of the hall. I walked in and open the door and bumped into a girl with red hair pink lips and hazel green eyes.

When I bumped into her she said "hey I'm sapphire so I guess i'm your new roommate."

"Omg! Sapphire is that you! " I say excitingly.

"Rachel is that really you!?" Asks sapphire. " What are you doing here!" She continued while she hugged me.

"I'm here too help control my abilities what about you?" I ask wondering why she was here.

" I can control the air." She says. "You remember when it was hot out it would cool down?" She asks

"This is so cool I can't believe that you're like me. I was wishing we would have school together again evert since you moved away and here we are now!" I Say to her.

" I can't believe it! You control an element. " She says smiling at me.

Tell me how you like it so far I could really use the input to help me write and make this story better and tell me about my mistakes I can use all the help I can get my goal is 10 votes!
