Chapter twenty | Midnight walk

I was woken up by a loud noise coming from the front door. It was Taehyung who had dropped something when he entered. I walk out to see him standing there picking up what he had dropped. "Welcome home Taehyung." I say waiting for him to see me. "Oh, thanks Y/N." He sais looking up and laughing at himself. He had been shopping and was struggling with the groceries. "Need help?" I asked laughing a bit at him. "Nah I'm fine." He said as he walked on towards the kitchen.

You sure? I could take one or two." "I'm sure." He sais as he keeps walking looking funny while doing it. I quickly took out my phone and filmed it smiling to myself when he didn't notice. I opened the messenger and went into a group with all the boys in, including Taehyung.

I turned off my phone and put it away walking into the kitchen helping Taehyung putting the groceries in their places. Taehyung picked up his phone to see the video I sent in the group chat. "Hah, I looked hilarious trying to carry them alone." He sais and laughs at himself. I was glad that he wasn't mad at me for sending the video without asking. "Are you hungry?" He then asks. "A bit, why?" I answer as we finished with the groceries. "We could go out and eat today, if you'd like." He sais and smiles. "It's late though." I say and look at the clock hanging in the kitchen. "It's only 6 PM, it's not that late." He insisted. "Fine, let's go." I say grabbing my hoodie and quickly putting it on.

"What do you wanna get?" He asked when we arrived ad McDonald's, yes McDonald's we're cheap living people. "Uh, I don't know. You can choose for me." I say as I look at the menu. We patiently wait in line for our turn, a few minutes later we're at the front and Taehyung orders our burgers and drinks. When our order is finished we go sit down at a table put along a window with barstools to sit on. "You know, Y/N.." Taehyung sais quietly but just loud enough for me to hear. "Yeah, what?" I ask as I look at him with a confused look on my face as a take a bite out of my burger. "Mmm.. let's take a walk after we've eaten. Along the river." He sais as he looks at his food as he keeps eating. "Oh, sure." I say before drinking a bit.

We had finished our food and we're walking along the river with only lamps and stars to light up our surroundings. It was calm and quiet around us, nothing could be heard except the fishes that jumped out of the water now and then splashing the water. "Y/N." Taehyung spoke breaking the silence. "Yes?" answer as we stop walking and he drags me with him to sit on the grass. "You know..." He began. "I really like you Y/N." He said making me flustered. "W-What?" I stuttered from the sudden confession. "All those things I did, when I kissed your head, cared for you when you were scared, I even... gave you a mark... those were out of love.." He talked for a bit about what he had done, and the things that made him like me. "Taehyung..."
