You remembered those exact words from your mother before she left you and your brother Cael, you and Cael were the inseparable duo when it came to Titans but there was only one person you never liked to be away from... Eren Jaeger, he was your first love and you're best friend but you could never seem to tell him that, " Hey (Y/N)... "

You looked to your side to see Eren with no shirt on and sweatpants on, he had tears in his as he stretched his arms in the air and yawned, you started to feel embarrassed and turned away from looking at him, " H-hey Eren... Did you just wake up? " You asked him as you looked at your feet, just then engulfed in a hug from behind. Eren wrapped his arms around you waist and squeezed you closer to him as he lied his head your shoulder and buried his face in your neck which made you stiffen,

" Mmm... (Y/N), I can tell you used that soap I gave you since you smell like lavender and vanilla... " He yawns in your neck making you blush fifty shades of red, when he finally let you go your knees went weak but he caught just in time before you hit the floor, " Thank you " You tell him nervously while quickly moving away from him and standing up straight, you were a complete mess when it came to your one and only love of your life. 

Hours had passed and it was now time for Training, you usually train with Mikasa, Armin, Jean or Connie but today- " Hey (Y/N)! Wanna be my partner today? " You couldn't believe it, Eren wanted to train with you! You knew he was good and you was pretty good too but not like that... "Uh... Yeah sure " you tell him fixing your hair and giving him a heart warming smile, you and Eren both got into your stances, " Ready? " you ask him but before he could say anything back you ran up to him and took a punch on his cheek making him stumble back, of course you didn't want to hurt that pretty face of his but you weren't about to lose to him either, " Cheap shot ". 

Smirking, he charges at you, you dodge a couple of punches but he catches you off guard and sweep kicks you, " Ha " you say out loud while flipping back up and doing a quick round house knocking him down on the ground, " looks like i win Jaeger " You say to him while walking over him but of course if you know Jaeger... He doesn't give up that easily, i sweep kicks you once more and pins your hands down to the ground. Both of you was out of breath and sweating.

He leans down and places a small kiss on your forehead while saying, " This is what you get for doing a cheap shot (L/N) " You couldn't help but blush which made eren happy because it was the exact expression he wanted from you and you gave it to him, " Alright brats! Training is over!" Eren helped you up as Captain Heichou made his way to the training grounds to yell at you all, you noticed but every time you was feeling bad, alone, or sad Eren would always be there, " (Y/N)! " You turned around to see your older brother Cael waiting with Jean, Connie and Sasha by the door of the mess hall. You turned back to Eren and he nodded knowing you had to go, " Coming! " 

" I don't understand why you hang out with that guy sis " Cael doesn't know that you're in love with Eren and if he found out... God knows what he could do, after all he is older than Eren, much stronger and scary if it revolves around you, he was very over protective but you didn't care because that's how he showed his love to you. 

Flash back~ 

" What are you gonna do about it!? Cry like a little baby and run to mommy? Oh wait she left you! " 

Three kids were beating up on you after school in a alley way, your mouth was bleeding, bruises and scars all over your cheeks and stomach, the two main places they hit you on... You couldn't cry or it'll show weakness and show that they were right and you couldn't move because you was surround by four of them, 

" Just leave... " You tell them but they didn't it one bit, the first bully picked you up by your (h/c)  (h/l) and punched you in the stomach making blood come out of your mouth, "Leave her alone!" someone kicks the guy holding you up, when you fall to the ground you start to cry as you hear yelling and grunting, "(y/n)... Are you okay sis? " it was your brother, 

You couldn answer him as tears poured down your face all you could do was hug him tightly, "Don't worry... I'll always protect you no matter what (n/n) "
