"Congratulations Kylee" him saying my name is the most beautiful sound I've ever heard, and the fact that he's hugging me really tight. You know what? Im going to hug him back. I got to take advantage of this moment. Neveah winked at me and said that she's "going to meet others".

"Hey Kylee, this is Anthony, Mac and Riley. My boys" he introduced me, they were the popular guys in school but they are known for not dating cheerleaders. Heck I have never seen Kyle with a girlfriend..not that I know of. I shook their hands and congratulated them as they did the same. They said their goodbyes and only the two of us were left.

"Where are your parents?" I asked him, he came here alone and I didn't see his parents anywhere.

"well.. I'm all alone. I live alone and I work during the night. My parents are.. I left them. They were drug addicts and they didn't want to listen to me. So I left and started my own life" he looked hurt and sad. I gave him a hug 

"everything's going to be okay" I looked at him and smiled. 

"Thank you Kylee" 

"I insist that you have dinner with us. You, me, Neveah and my mom since Neveah's parents' flight got delayed so they won't be here till tomorrow morning." I can't believe I'm actually saying all these things, It just came out of the blue.

"Really? gee, thank you. and I'd love too." He smiled and giggled. He looked like a very happy kid.

We're walking through the correigdors and it seems like everyone else is gone. It's almost 7 p.m.

we went to the car and met up with my mom.

"Hey there, Kyle? If I'm not mistaken?" my mom said with a smile

"Yes, I am Kyle. Hello Mrs. Velasquez" and they shook hands.

"Mom, I asked Kyle to come and eat dinner with us" I said nervously, hoping my mom would give a good response back

"Why that is no problem sweety, everyone is welcome!" with her around everything is so light and bubbly.

"Hop in the car and let's go to a restaurant, Neveah said she'll come and meet us there"

Then we drove off..

While entering a fancy restaurant where we always eat for dinner, I saw Dad. I ran towards him and jumped into his arms, I will always be daddy's little girl. He looked at me and hugged me again then he put me down. Everyone else was looking at us which caused me to blush, and my dad noticed my red cheeks so he let out a little smirk.

"C'mon, let's sit at our usual table" said dad, so we walked towards it and saw Kyle and my mom following us, I wonder what they are talking about.

We all got to the table and my dad looked at Kyle then looked at me, which made me a bit nervous since I don't know how this will go. typically not the boyfriend meets dad for the first time

"uhm Dad, this is Kyle. Kyle this is my dad"

They shook each others hands and said the usual it's nice to meet you, the pleasure is all mine kind of stuff.

We all took a seat and I saw Neveah enetering the restaurant and I waved at her, thank God she saw me. She walked towards our table and said hi to my dad and kissed my mom on the cheeks. Then she looked at Kyle, said hi then changed her direction towards me and winked.

she sat next to me and i whispered "Don't be too obvious", she let  out a small laugh and then looked at my parents and we tried to hold back our laughs.

"So, you're the boy that Kylee's been talking about" Why does dad always have to be so obvious, He has always been the joker of the family, always easy-going and not so strict. It's so weird how his personality changes when he's with his friends or with his collegues.  I gave him a look and trying not to blush at the same time.

"ohh.. I should've never said that haha! Well change topic, how does it feel to be a newly graduate as a highschool student?" Dad asked as he held my mom closer to him

"It feels good actually, finally out of misery. I hate highschool" Neveah sighed.

"I second that motion" Kyle and I said at the same time then we looked at each other as they did to us and we all laughed in unison.

Since we all ordered already,  we are ready to munch on our dinner.

"Man, this will always be my favorite Filipino dish. Sisig and rice" talking with my mouth full isn't a great idea.. since Kyle was around. He was having Sinigang, which is also a filipino dish. He looks like he's enjoying his food.

"It's good huh? It's my mom's and Neveah's favorite too"

"Yeah, I wish someone introduced me to Filipino foods earlier" and  giggled.

"Then you should've noticed Kylee in the first place" 

KYLE'S POV

 "Then you should've noticed Kylee in the first place" I almost choked on my food, the girl that I have always been crushing on has been crushing on me?

 "Oh.. uhm I'm sorry. It's just that.. uhm. Well, I'm going to be honest actually since I am a very open person, I'd just say it now before I screw up since I am already here" I am so nervous, this is not how I expect to meet my parent's crush for the first time and explaning my feelings but screw it, i'd just do it anyways.

"I've been in several classes with Kylee and-" I was cutted of by Neveah "As we all know"  she rolled her eyes and giggled

"I just don't have the guts to talk to your daughter, I mean.. I'm just some boy that tries really hard to get a scholarship and work at the same time to cope up with my bills while she.. she's out of my league" I looked at Kylee, the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. She's the reason why I've been rejecting girls throughout highschool.  Her beautiful bright blue eyes staring right back at me and she let out a smile. I looked to her mom who was staring at her daughter and I looked at her dad who was looking at me. 

"It reminds me of the past" i turned my head to her mom, she let out a small laugh. "yeap you heard it right" she said.

"this is like our story, right honey?" she looked over to her husband and he nodded. He kissed her on the forehead.
