I hid in my den, trying to block out the sounds of hissing and flesh being torn off. I rubbed my paws on my grey-white ears.

"You're stupid!" I heard Copper growl, the sound of flesh torn off following it. "No, you're stupid!" A member of the other pack said.

"Hey, Amy, come over here, we have no use for you. So, that means, we don't care if you die." Copper said. I shook my head. "No can do, Alpha. I hate fighting." I said.

"Get your tail over here, now!" He shouted. I slowly padded towards them. This has been happening a lot lately. The Moon Pack and the Cougar Pack were fighting and arguing for no absolute reason.

"Attack!" Copper screeched. I was weak, I couldn't fight. "I'll pretend, I will just nip your ear a little and pretend that it hurt. Okay?" I whispered in the other pack member's ear.

"Hah! She's betraying you! Good job, stone." They said. I backed away as everyone looked at me. "I... I didn't mean to... Please, forgive me. I don't like hurting others." I said.

"Amy, no dinner for you this week. Go to the den!" He barked. I tried to find words. "I-I can help, please!" I begged.

"Go Amy, now!" He snapped. I walked away and lay in the den. Why did he call me Amy, why not Amethyst? He obviously had no respect towards me. But on the other hand, no one ever did.

I listened to the sound of scratching. "Stop!" Someone barked. They had a loud, powerful voice. Most likely a male.

The sound stopped. I was confused. I walked out of the den and saw the alpha of the Cougar Pack.

He only had one leg. Just one. The left was gone. Were they scared of him? He looked handsome. Golden eyes and black fur. Not to mention how big he was.

"Starting from next week, I will pick some of your pack members to come to my pack. We will let our pack members go to yours so we can work out our differences," He said. "Ah, how about that one." He nodded his head toward me.

I trotted up to him, he was quite taller than me in comparison. "Hey, mister, who do you think you are, bossing us around?" I asked. He narrowed his eyes.

"Just, get your things, your coming to my pack tomorrow, Tiny." He said. "Okay, how about that one? And that one!" He kept nodding his head towards wolves.

I sighed and walked to my den, I had nothing to pack. I shivered and went to the back of the den. Winter was nearing.

I saw a small white flake fall down onto the ground. I lay down and stared at nothing. The Sun disappeared into the night and the Moon took its place.

The Cougar Pack left and the wolves started to huddle together in the den. I was stuffed in the corner. It wasn't that bad that we were all squished together, it kept us warm.

Snow fell from the sky and blanketed the ground and trees. I put my head on the ground and went deeper into the corner. My eyes closed and I fell asleep.
