When I woke up, it was dark.

And not just night time dark, the kind of dark in a dungeon cell.

I sighed, shaking my head in amusement. I swiftly pulled myself out of my chains as I turned into air, then slipped through the bars.

"Too easy."

I walked up the stone steps, pulling open the door at the top, walking straight into the kitchen.

A few crew members stared at me.

"Your captain's dumb." And that was all I said as I walked out onto the ship deck.

It was still day, meaning I wasn't out for long, or I had stayed unconscious overnight.

I was just going to sneak off and steal one of their dinghies until Kid spotted me.

Immediately tons of metal was flying towards me. I swung a hand in front of me, sending all of it flying back at him.

He stopped it before it did, but allowed the weapons to be dropped rather than turning them towards me again.

I shook my head. "You can't chain me up, it won't work."

"You think I don't have Seastone?" Was he always this angry over the littlest things?

I decided yes, yes he was.

"Won't work either. Try it, I dare you."

I guess those last words set him off because before I could even blink, he was in front of me, a dagger in my heart.

I choked, but my last words weren't my best.

"Heh, this hurts. Well, sorry, Ace."

And nothing was known to me anymore.

When I awoke, I realized I was being carried.

I looked at the person. Killer.

And I knew what he was doing. He was going to dispose of my body.

My fist immediately connected with his mask, and I leapt out of his arms.

I kicked his knee causing him to fall. I flicked my hand, fire seizing him, knocking him out as he swallowed smoke through his holed mask.

"Okaayyyy..." It was nighttime, and I had just come back to life.

I looked around the sides of the ship for a dinghy and eventually found one. It was bigger than my previous one which I was kind of grateful for.

I tossed my food into it, getting ready to drop in when I heard an enraged yell.

Guess who?

Why did he always have to catch me at the worst moments?!

I turned around, annoyed. "What!!?? Goddamnit, just let me leave!!"

"I killed you!"

The next words just flew out of my mouth. "Well, so did Akainu! But you know what?!! I came back!! I'm alive! And I'll continue to be for the rest of eternity!"

I had my fists clenched. I just wanted to get to the Whitebeards. I wanted to see Ace again, show him I was okay.

That I wasn't ten feet under.

Kid stared, his face still red with anger and a scowl on his face.

"That's-!"

"No it's not! Let me leave! I need to get to Whitebeard!" I yelled. His figure froze.

Oops, I forgot everyone knows of the strongest man in the world.

His eyes narrowed and weapons came out of nowhere, flying towards me.

The books were right, Kid really was a sadist.

I lit my fist on fire, spreading in front of me as a shield. I let it burst outwards, knocking the metal weapons and Kid backwards.

When the flaming light was gone, my hands were still blazing, the water becoming rough.

"Try it again," I smirked as a few words came to mind, "I dare you."

He was visibly shaking now, actual smoke leaving his ears.

I almost laughed at the scene. Oh, anime, the wonders it can create!

"I'm leaving, and you can't stop me.  The only reason I'm here is because your crew scared the Sea King. The only reason I haven't left is because you murdered me, yet I came back to life. How does that feel? Knowing you killed a thirteen year old girl, then she came back. Does it feel like I've come back to haunt you? I hope it does because you'd better be expecting Whitebeard commanders on your ass soon. I'm telling on you."

Laugh it up, yes, the last line was childish, but so was I.

He didn't look convinced, but fear was still evident on his face from the possibility. He was good at hiding it though.

I raised my blazing fist, sending it towards the deck floor. He yelled out angrily, but the fire was already spreading rapidly.

I smirked at him, leaping onto the edge of the burning ship. "Call it karma, Eustass."

And I jumped, landing in the dinghy. The ropes broke from the sudden impact, and it dropped into the water.

Almost immediately, a Sea King rose from the water, picking me up and starting to swim off at a rapid speed.

"Look me up! Lite J. Kristin! I'm sure you'll find me!!!"

The ship silhouette disappeared quickly, leaving me alone on the open ocean.

"I'm still sorry, Ace."

A week later and I still hadn't found the Whitebeards.

I knew it was going to take awhile, but I had such good luck the first time.

But I guess dying caused your luck to die as well, because I was starting to lose my patience.

I huffed angrily, willing myself to push the boat faster.

I needed more supplies soon, too.

It was another couple of days before I spotted an island. I docked fairly quickly, scrambling onto the dock like I always did.

I pulled the cloak out of my dinghy and clipped it around my neck. I pulled the hood over my head, making sure my face and shirt were hidden.

I didn't need others recognizing my shirt. I was sure that questions about my shirt flew around the marine bases after I had 'died.'

I could practically feel the concrete ground beneath my feet, and as I looked down at the tatters I once called shoes, I decided I needed new ones.

"First stop, a shop that sells shoes," I murmured to myself, running down the road, disappearing in the middle of it abruptly.
