Sheppard took a huge shuttered gasp as he awoke. He opened his eyes and saw a searing light. He jerked onto his side and closed his eyes. Then he slowly opened them again. He was lying on the grassy ground. The searing light was apparently the sun shining brightly.

He looked around. He was in a small meadow in a forest. Mountains surrounded him on all sides. A wraith dart was landed a little bit away. He quickly jumped to his feet, ready for an attack. Then remembered what had happen. He groaned a little.

He heard yip from his right and looked to see Lacy waving at him. He walked over there to see Carson and the crew eating something over a fire. The aroma of the meal wafted to his unsuspecting nose and started his mouth drooling. He sat down. Carson smiled briefly at him, "Welcome back to the world. Are you hungry?"

He nodded. Lacy started putting some meat on a small piece of tree bark. She gave it to him and smiled expectantly. Carson grimaced, "She makes a wonderful meal."

Lacy frowned at him, like she completely saw through, or even understood, what he said. Sheppard smiled like a skunk had just pooped in his bed, but he was trying to make the best of the situation. He nibbled a small bite. A tangy peppery taste filled his mouth. Nothing like he expected. It was actually really good. He started tearing into it. It was only after it was all gone that he realized he must have been hungry.

He sighed, "Well, what happened?"

Carson explained, "Apparently our Lacy can hack and fly a wraith dart."

He nodded, "Hmm, who knew?"

Rodney hurumphed, "Who knew? No one knew! This means that she might be intelligent. She might have her own language. That little stint in english in the wraith ship. What was that?"

Lacy sighed. She walked over to Carson and sat down. Carson frowned, "You didn't think she was intelligent before?"

Rodney froze, "Well, you know..."

Carson raised an eyebrow.

Sheppard shook his head, "So where are we now?"

Rondey shrugged, glad to be leaving that subject, "Some sort of planet. It doesn't seem habbitated, but Lucy now knows another word. Stargate. And she is emphatic that we are on a planet that has one."

Lucy nodded and pointed, "Stargate!"

Sheppard raised an eyebrow, "Did she just say stargate in a Scottish accent?"

Lucy jumped to her feet. Her ears were errect and forward. A rustle came from a nearby bush. Those in the camp stood up, and Sheppard lifted his rifle. Carson glanced at Lucy. Her ears were forward, but not alarmed. Her hands were ready, but not clawed yet. Her intellegent eyes looked curiously at the bushes.

A gaint iratus bug flew from the bushes headed straight towards Sheppard.  Rodney barely had time to register what happened next. The iratus bug was half way through the air, when Lucy jumped up and grabbed its back, flinging it down towards the ground with one flick of her wrist. She palmed it's head into a rock on the ground. Her claws dug into its supposedly un-breakable shell. Its innereds oozed out of it. She tilted her head. Rodney let out an undignified squeal.

Sheppard lowered his gun, "It continually suprises me how fast she can react."

Lucy cracked the legs and head off of the bug and threw the main body into the fire. Ronan growled, "Lets get out of here."

Carson nodded emphatically,  "Agreed."

They packed up and started to leave, but Lucy stayed by the fire a little longer. Carson turned back, "Lucy, are you comming?"
