A Surprise Meeting (O2L Fan Fiction)

Chapter 14

~The Next Day~

*Ricky's P.O.V.*

I woke up with sun rays hitting my face. Shaianne wasn't next to me. I grabbed some clothes and changed. I stepped outside and the cold air surrounded me. Shaianne was outside making herself a smoothie. I walked up behind her and wrapped my arms round her waist. She craned her neck around to meet my gaze.

"Morning sleepyhead," she joked.

"Morning. What are we going to be doing today?"

"I dunno. Let's wait for everyone else to get up."

"Okay."

After everyone had their breakfast, we all sat down in a circle and figured out what our plan for the day was.

"Why don't we go on a hike?" Shaianne suggested.

"Okay. We'll do that first. Then we can have lunch afterward," Tiana said.

"Okay. Why don't we go to the lake that's about a mile down," Jc said.

"Okay. Then we'll come back and have some dinner," I finished.

"Okay. Let's go get ready for our hike," Connor said.

We all went to our respective tents and got our stuff. Shaianne and I threw on our hiking shoes and threw our backpacks over our shoulders. We emerged from our tents. Once we made sure everyone had everything, we headed on our hike.

While hiking, we came across an artsy bridge like the ones you see on tumblr. The boys and I whipped out our phones to take pictures.

"Hey, Shaianne. Let's take a selfie," I suggested.

"Okay," she smiled. We took the picture. I posted it and tagged her.

We all walked over to Jc and Tiana. Tiana was holding Jc's phone as if she was going to take a video or something.

"Jc, what in the world are you going to do?" Kiana asked.

"Yeah. You can't run or jump. It's not allowed," Skye added.

"Well, they never said anything about backflips," Jc smiled mischievously.

"You're not going to right?" Shaianne asked.

"C'mon, Shaianne. You should know me by now. Of course," Jc replied.

"I can't watch this," Shaianne said as she buried herself into my chest.

"Okay. Suit yourself," Jc said. "Ready with the camera Tiana?"

"Yup. Just tell me when."

"Okay. Now!" Jc yelled as he did the backflip.

"Great! I got it all on camera," Tiana smiled handing Jc his phone back.

"Shaianne. He did it. It's over," I said rubbing her back. She slowly lifted her head out of my chest.

"Okay. I think we should keep going," Shaianne said shakily.

We continued our hike. Once we got to the top, I noticed that Shaianne wasn't looking too well.

"Shaianne?" I asked.

"Yes?"

"Are you alright? You don't look to good."

"I'm fine. Really. I think I'm just hungry."

"Okay."

We eventually made it back down and was back at the camp site. Shaianne made everyone sandwiches. Once we were done and had waited for our lunch to digest even though we wanted to get going. Just because Shaianne insisted we wait. We all changed into our bathing suits and walked down to the lake. It was a nice, warm day in California so the water was just right. Jc and Tiana were the first ones to get in the water. Followed by Skye and Kiana. Then Kiana and Trevor and everyone else except for Shaianne and I. Shaianne slowly walked into the water and I walked with her. After a while, we all decided we had spent enough time at the lake. We headed back and Tiana made dinner. Afterwards, we got out our towels and layer then down on the logs we were sitting on last night. After we finished dinner, we went to our respective tents to get ready to go to sleep. Shaianne and I changed in opposite sides of the room. We got into our bed and cuddled together. It was a semi-cool night in California. Her head was resting ok my chest. I looked at her and stroked her long hair.

"Ricky?" she asked.

"Yeah?"

She craned her neck around to look me straight in the eyes. "Do you think we'll be together for a long time?"

"Of course. I will love you until the end of time. Forever and always," I said kissing the top of her head.

She didn't say anything. She didn't need to. The sparkle in her eyes was enough to suffice. She just hugged me and rested her head on my chest again. Eventually, we both drifted to sleep.
