I cleaned them up before heading out the restroom. As I was walking to get to class I felt like I was being watched.

I look around seeing no one so I kept walking.

Before I could scream I was over someone's shoulders and forced into a custodian closet.

What happened next is something that can never or ever be forgotten.

Laila's P.O.V

"Don't say a word about this to anyone!"

I didn't even get a chance to respond because before I knew it I passed out.

~

I wake up feeling confused, tired and weak. It didn't take long for me to realize what had happened to me.

It took me a while to get the door open but when I did, I noticed that it was already dark out. I check the time and gasped when I saw the time 11:45 pm.

How did no one know I was in there?

How did no one find me?

I got the strength to get up and limped my way home which took me an hour.

As soon as I opened the door a pair of arms wrapped around me making me flinch.

"Laila, you're home. What happened? Where were you?"

I immediately knew it was Michael.

I looked up to see dad sitting at the table not even taking a glance at me.

Just the thought and knowing that my own father didn't even care that I could've been dead, really hurts.

"I just want to be alone." I sighed and head to my room.

I lock my door before sliding down the door.

It felt like I was sobbing for hours before I actually fell asleep.

~

I wake up to someone lifting me up and immediately start freaking out. I didn't even care who it was. I'm not letting anyone touch me.

"Laila, you're ok. It's only me." I hear the voice of Mikey say.

"No, please let me go! Please don't hurt me!" I cry trying to get out of his grip.

"Shhhh, I'm not letting you go until you realize that I'm not going to hurt you."

Mikey's P.O.V

When Laila finally showed up, I could immediately see the fear in her face.

Someone hurt her and I'm not letting that person get away from it. She's already hurting enough from her father that I need to try harder at changing.

Whatever happens, she's not going back. I'm not letting her break more than she already has.

After I finally get Laila to calm down I notice Luke standing by her door.

He had a look saying, 'we need to talk.'

I immediately knew what it was he wanted to talk about. I just hope he's actually ready.
