STORY BEHIND THE TITLE: I chose to name this Distance when I was listening to this playlist: https://open.spotify.com/user/angequincy/playlist/6Z9mqILpw5VUZdhqITpVk8 . I really really loved this song from the first time I heard it! According to songmeanings.com:

I just thought the song fit the fic's theme so much! I'd actually had the idea for the plot in my mind before I went to bed the other day, but I felt like I was supposed to finish Safe Inside before  writing this. But then when I heard this song, it just made me go "Screw it! I'm writing it." XD

The only difference between the song and the fic is that in the fic, you guys don't have a choice and life keeps you apart.

The fic's original name was actually 'I Love You a LATTE' before I heard Distance by Christina Perri ft. Jason Mraz.

You've had a gigantic crush on Ian Hecox for years, and would do anything to meet him. You're a girl with big dreams, and you never give up.
