Marina saw her sister frantically trying to make this spell. All she could think about is why, why didn't she know about all this. Why did they keep this from her. Why did Cerylia know about our magic and the merfolk and she didn't. How was this fair.

She brought a chair up to where her sister was sitting. She decided to ask her. "Cerylia, why do you know all about this magic stuff, and I know nothing?" Cerylia was still very distracted by looking around but she started to explain it. She told Marina that her parents taught her first becuase she was the best at keeping secrests and the most mature for her age. They entrusted her with this and taught her all they could so that when everything went to hell she could help. She explained that they were going to train Marina when she was slightly older and more mature, but sadly there lives were taken. Cerylia also stated that she didn't teach Marina because she could not bare to think about it again; she needed to morn the loss of her loved ones.

After  a good hour of talking about this Marina decided that she wanted to learn. "I want to learn the secrets and the ways of our family, I can do this." Marina explained to her sister. As her sister agreed to teach her then something started rustling the trees around them and they heard a mans voice. Marina instantly tensed up. She and her sister hoped the cloaking spell worked. And it did, 5 men walked straight past the house. Marina couldn't help but look at the man in front. He was beautiful, with raven hair, deep blue eyes, strong jaw line, and  muscles that could feed an army with beautiful tattoos alinged perfect with eachother. He was a sight to see. She turned to her sister and asked "can I please go check them out, I promise not to get caught!". For she just wanted to look at the man longer somthing intreaged her about him. Cerylia shot that idea down hard. And all Marina could do was sulk.

Marina and Cerylia sat there in silence watching the men set up there camp far down the beach. You could just make out a tiny little bright light, which was their fire. Marina saw that her sister was getting sleep and she thought this would be the perfect opportunity to go look around. She said she was tired to her sister and Cerylia agree and they said their goodnights and headed to their rooms.

Marina waited for what felt like hours but it was only about 30 minutes for her sister to fall asleep. She slipped on some dark clothes and some shoes and tiptoed out of the house. She disappeared into the night without a sound to go watch her mysterious pirate.
