As she walked through the forest, Marina used the spell she snatched from her sisters table to conceal herself from the pirates. She had hoped that it would get her close enough to observe them from a close distance. As she was walking through the forest she heard some footsteps. She saw a strange man and he was just walking looking around like he'd lost somthing. But she couldn't be bothered with this man she had to focus on observing the pirates.
Marina had been walking for what felt like hours but she noticed that the fire was very close now. She was just about to get there when she heard footsteps again. She froze and moved to the side. She saw it was her sister she was frantically searching for her she thought. She watched as her sister climbed the tree infront of her. She decided to continue this mission and walk towards the fire and her mysterious man.
As she was walking toward the fire she felt like somthing was off but she continued on. All of a sudden out of nowhere a sword was at her throat. "Who are you!" Her mysterious man snarled. Marina was frightened but intreaged at the same time. "I'm Marina." She stated trying not to give off that she was frightened. "Why are you here. And where did you come from." He asked gentler this time almost as if he was entranced by her. " I'm here to check you out, and I was just passing by." She said as calmly as she could trying not to give away she was lying. " I'm sure you're lying, men tie her up and bring her to me after. I'll get answer out of you yet little miss." He said as he took her chin in his hand. His men took her by the arms, Marina struggled against them but it was no use even with all her weight they still were stronger.
Marina was tied by her arms and ankles, the rope was itchy and tight and they gaged her mouth with a peice of cloth. The strange man was pacing infront of her, all she could do was look at him with anger and disbelief for he didn't have to tie her up. He knelt down so he could look Marina in the eyes and he took her gag off. "Now Marina, are you going to tell me why your really here?" He said while fiddling with his sword. " You didn't have to tie me up, is that anyway to treat a lady!" Marina snarled back at him. "Now, now little lady no need to get feisty, I haven't properly introduced myself. I'm Captin Ryland." He said giving her a smirk. Marina thought his smirk was sexy but she couldn't let that show. "Well Captin Ryland, you didn't need to tie me up, I told you the truth I was just passing by." She said with an eye roll.
He motioned for his men to come here, he wispered somthing in their ears and all of a sudden they were marching towards Marina. She tried curling into the fetal position so they couldn't hurt her but they just picked her up and started untying the ropes. This took Marina by surprise. Once she was free Marina rubbed her wrists to get the feeling back. "Why did you let me free, how do you know I was telling you the truth?" She question. "Well little miss, I don't but for some reason I trust you. Don't make me regret it by trying to run." He says smirking at Marina. There he goes again with that smirk she thought to herself. "Wouldn't dream of it, Captin." She said smirking back. With that she heard her sisters secret call and she knew she would be saved soon.
