My Hero (Kaisoo)

Chapter 2

~3rd Person POV~

Once Kai let go of Kyungie, his innocent, red puffy eyes looked at him with a puzzled expression. Kai smiled weakly at him, and became nervous by the sudden silence that was surrounding them.

Kai decided to finally break the awkward atmosphere by nervously scratching his head and hesitating on whether to ask Kyungsoo a question. "Um.. Well, as you can see, I'm a transferred student here, and I don't really know the buildings or the classrooms very well, Would you mind helping me find my class?"

Kyungsoo slowly, and gently lowered his hands from his red puffy eyes. He was a bit confused and taken aback by the sudden question that he least expected from Kai. Especially in the situation he was in right now.

Kyungie took a quick glance at Kai who was scratching the back of his head nervously, while taking a folded sheet of paper out of his uniform pants and handing it to Kyungsoo. Kyungsoo flinched at the sight of Kai's arms quickly coming out from his pocket and took the folded paper gently from his hands.

He immediately started to unfold the paper and looked at Jongin's name for a while and noticed in his schedule, it showed his date of birth. Kyungsoo noticed from his birthdate that he was a year older than Kai, and his birthday was two days before his.

When Kyungsoo glanced quickly through the schedule, he felt a cold shiver run down his spine. Kyungsoo had four of his classes with Kai out of all his eight classes.
His eyes started to widen and felt a burning sensation arise from his stomach. He didn't want to deal with Kai. For all Kyungsoo knew, Kai would beat him senseless everyday just like Yixing did to him whenever he had the chance to. Yixing and his group of friends was already enough for him. Now Kai?

Kai looked confused for a second and took his schedule away from Kyungsoo's hands. A faint, cracking, and trembling voice filled with worry, whispered, "We have first period together... And a few more other classes together."

**RING**

The sudden bell startled Kyungsoo, as the sound started to echo through the restroom walls and into his ears. The bell was indicating that it was time for all the students to start heading to their first period class. Kyungsoo sighed knowing that his first class of the day was gym.

Kyungsoo's body type showed that he wasn't very athletic or could do things that required anything with strength or endurance. While Kai, on the other hand, showed that he was the athletic type, and capable of having a great stamina.

As Kyungsoo and Kai slowly came out the restroom together, they headed towards the halls and made their way to the locker rooms. When they entered the locker rooms, Kai started observing the walls and details that surrounded the locker room.

"These lockers look bigger than the ones in my older school.." Kai stayed still for a moment, and started walking towards Coach Joon, giving him a small bow to show politeness.

"Hello Coach, nice to meet you! I'm Kim Jongin and I just transferred here and was wondering how much the uniform for this class costs." Coach Joon looked at Kai for a second and started smiling from seeing his determination in each and every word he had said.

"Hello! It's very nice to meet you too, Jongin. I'm Coach Lee Joon, and I'm very glad to see you excited for having gym and will have a pleasure working with you for the rest of the year. Now to answer your question. To buy the gym uniform, it'll cost you about twenty dollars since the shirt and the shorts each cost ten."

"Thanks Coach! I'll bring money next time to be able to buy the uniform." Kai bowed politely and walked back, heading towards Kyungsoo. Jongin rolled his eyes when he noticed Kyungie was grabbing clothes to go into the changing rooms.
