"11 Wakandans were among those killed during a confrontation between the Avengers and a group of mercenaries in Lagos, Nigeria last month. The traditionally reclusive Wakandans were on an outreach mission in Lagos when the attack occurred."

The camera cut to T'Chaka, also known as the king of Wakanda as Faerie sat in Wanda's room, staring at the screen blankly.

"Our people's blood is spilled on foreign soil not only because of the actions of criminals but by the indifference of those pledged to stop them. Victory at the expense of the innocent is no victory at all," the man said.

"Change the channel," Faerie requested softly. Wanda hummed and clicked the button. When she noticed that it was another news station, she attempted to turn off the TV. Faerie shook her head and grabbed the remote, raising the volume instead.

"They are operating outside and above the international law. Because that's the reality if we don't respond to acts like these. What legal authority does a supposed "goddess" and enhanced individuals like Faerie and Wanda Maximoff have to operate in Nigeri-" the news anchor was cut off by a click when Steve entered the room. Wanda looked at Faerie worriedly before the latter spoke up.

"It's my fault," the goddess said quietly, much unlike the flamboyant woman that had initially come to the Overworld.

"That's not true," the blond man said, walking into the room.

"Turn the TV back on. They're being very specific," Faerie retorted bitterly, still not looking at the Captain.

"I should've clocked that bomb vest long before you two had to deal with it. Rumlow said 'Bucky' and all of a sudden I was a 16-year-old kid again in Brooklyn." He sat down on the bed heavily beside Faerie who now sat between Steve and Wanda. "And people died. It's on me."

"It's on the three of us," Wanda said, looking pointedly at Faerie.

"This job..." Steve started. "We try to save as many people as we can. Sometimes that doesn't mean everybody. But if we can't find a way to live with that, then next time, maybe nobody gets saved."

They sat in silence for a second before Vision came in through the wall, causing Wanda and Faerie to jump slightly.

"Vis! We talked about this," Wanda chastised gently.

"Yes, but the door was open so I assumed that..." the android trailed off. "Captain Rogers wished to know when Mr Stark was arriving."

Steve nodded before looking down, relaxing his posture, and looking back up.

"Thank you. We'll be right down," he said to Vision.

"I'll... use the door," Vision said, looking mildly awkward. "Oh, and apparently, he's brought a guest."

"We know who it is?" Steve asked, arching a brow.

"The Secretary of State," the other male responded easily before turning to leave. Wanda looked at Faerie uneasily, who looked despondent.
