Regret [On Hold]

Chapter 5

It's been 6 months now. And you had grown really close to Jungkook and Taehyung, his brother. But during these six months you had noticed one thing. Every month , for one whole week Jungkook would leave to god knows where. When you'd ask him either he'd change the topic or say it's some important work. Today is the beginning of the week he'll leave again. The worst thing is that he wouldn't even tell you before leaving , neither he'd read any of your texts. You decided that this time when he'll be back , you have to ask him where he went.

Your week passed boringly without Jungkook. You played ps all by yourself , ate food alone. And today was the day he'd be back and you had noticed the time as well. Right after 5 minutes it'll be 2am and that's when he's back ,you waited quietly. And exactly after five minutes had passed you heard him unlock his door and decided you'd go see him after 10 minutes so it wouldn't make it obvious that you had stayed up for him.

During these 10 minutes you fixed your hair. You didn't change to avoid him from thinking you came for him and grabbed your maths notes , pretending you had a doubt and that's the reason you wanted to meet him. Since he had helped you improve a lot in maths. You waited for him outside his apartment after knocking , what if he slept. and suddenly he opened the door. His hair was wet and he was in his bath robe , with his chest exposed. You were used to seeing him expose his skin a little now without getting nervous unlike the first time you'd seen him shirtless and lost it.

You walked in and sat on the couch and he asked for you to wait for a while so he could change. After a while he came out wearing a black shirt and sweats with his hair still damp and obviously it was Jungkook and he loved body sprays a lot , so he smelled really good. He'd always tell you to buy one for him when you'd tell him you're going to VS. He came over and sat next to you "What made you stay up this late?" "Oh it's just this math- never mind let me just get straight to the point."

And he raised one of his brows "okay??"
"Jungkook where have you been all this week?" "Wor-" you didn't let him finish "no I'm not taking that this time, every single time I've asked you this you've only replied saying it was some work. Jungkook please. Do you think we're not close enough? You can just tell me if you don't want me to ask you about your whereabouts. I can understand if you're still uncomfortable with me" and you didn't realize during this you had unknowingly placed your hand on his thigh and he sort of looked uncomfortable since he kept looking down at where your hand was. So you quickly removed it and placed it  on your knee instead.

"I'm sorry" you said while avoiding looking at him in the eyes. And suddenly after all these six months , today you felt nervous and awkward around him. All this time you were the only one telling him about your every single worry or happiness and he's been there for both but he never shared any thing with you and you were hurt by the fact that he's still uncomfortable with you.

Thinking about all this made you tear up "Jungkook you could've just told me before if you were uncomfortable" your voice cracking at the last word. "Oh no no no y/n it's not like that" he grabbed your hand "then what is it like?" He stayed silent and gripped on your hand tightly "y/n do you really want to know?" "Yes Jungkook I want to know . You've never told me on your own. You've never even told me about your parents"
"Y/n are you sure you want to know because I don't think you'd stay one more minute by my side after I tell you about it"
"I do"
