Chapter 16

Brooke's mouth watered as she entered the dining room the smells filled her nose and reminded her of home, she was snapped out of her trance when Elijah told everyone to take the seats. Elijah and klaus took the heads of the table with Kol and Bonnie on the right and Brooke and Rebekah on the left. Dinner was surprisingly civil Bonnie guessed it was because Elijah forced his siblings to be on their best behavior for Brooke's sake. Bonnie couldn't help but smile and tear up all her life she'd have nothing but pain and a shitty family and he she was happy, with the Mikeaelsons of all people. Then she felt something warm on her thigh she wiped away a stray tear quickly and looked down, Kols hand was placed gently on her thigh. Her instinct told her to smack it off but then she looked up at him at his face. He looked so soft so peaceful, his eyes said that he felt the same way Bonnie did that he finally found his family and it was her. So she didn't smack his hand she continued eating and laughing with his warmth radiating through her body.
After dessert Brooke would was eating her cheesecake much too fast slipped and dropped her fork under the table she stopped the servant who tried to get it and climbed under the table to get it herself, while retrieving her fork she saw something she never thought she'd see.

After dinner Bonnie and Brooke were escorted to their rooms and left to unpack. After about an hour of unpacking Bonnie heard a soft knock on her door she got up from folding her clothes and opened the door to an excited Brooke.
"What's up with you?" Bonnie asked
"Oh yeah what's up with me? What's up with you!!" Brooke basically yelled
"What what!"
"Kol!!! Why didn't you tell me you had a thing for him?!"
"What are you talking about?"
"Oh you can't fool me Bonnie Bennett you were basically blushing all dinner and when I dropped my phone I saw his hand on your thigh" Brooke raised her eyebrows sexually.
Bonnie laughed, "no no it's not like that we are just friends"
"Hmmm hell of a friend i need to find me a friend like Kol" Brooke winked before leaving Bonnie's room.
Brooke left Bonnie in her thoughts
What are her and Kol?
What did what happen at dinner mean?
Then finally she made up her mind the only way to 100% know what it all meant is to ask him. So she got up and proudly walked herself to Kols room and knocked. "About time come in darling" he yelled through the door.
"About time?"
"Bonnie Bonnie Bonnie I know you I knew you'd come you aren't childish you don't wait for things you go at them headfirst I envy that"
Bonnie bit her lip she didn't want to admit it but she was flattered, she shook it off though.
"So are you going to tell me what happened today?" Bonnie said as she sat down on Kols bed.
"What do you mean?" Kol raised an eyebrow
"Oh come on Kol, you know what I mean let's not be childish" she smirked
"Fine then I fancy you Bennett I think you're one of the most beautiful things on the planet and I have no idea how I survived millions of years before you and can't imagine an eternity without you" he looked up at Bonnie who was stunned he went to touch her hand but she got up and left quickly a whispered "I can't do this" before leaving.
Kol swears he yelled after her but no noise came out he looked in the mirror and his eyes welled up he punched the mirror out of rage.
