The Real Me

Time Flies

Amy's POV

I can't believe my freshman year is already over! This year has been one of my best so far. Halley stopped picking on me so I didn't have to worry about her. My brother being my teacher didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would he actually turned out to be a good teacher. 

So it's summer break now and I'm at the beach with Sam and Nicole. I'm just laying here sun bathing in my camouflage bikini that I'm so glad I can wear and not be ashamed of my body

"Hey do you wanna go in the water now?" Sam asks me from beside me. 

"Sure." So I take my shades off and race him to the water, he wins of course. 

I still love Sam and I'm pretty sure he doesn't love me back, he has a girlfriend now named Emma. I can't stand her and its like I rarely get to spend time with him like this anymore. Every time they are together it seems like all they do is make out, so I can hardly stand being around them it breaks my heart. The only reason she isn't with us today is because she is on vacation with her family in Ohio.

Next thing I know Sam is picking me up taking me out of my thoughts. 

"Sam put me down!" 

"Nope" ugh I hate when he does this. Well kinda cause he has me slung over his shoulder so I have a nice view of his butt.

"Please put me down Sammy." I say trying to sound as sweet as I can. 

"Okay." He says and next thing I know I'm being thrown in the water. 

"I'm gonna get you you jerk!" I scream at him as I come out of the water. Now he's running towards the shore away from me. Have I mentioned how hot he is when he runs his back muscles flex. 

Snap out of it Amy! I scold my self remembering I have to get him and also that he has a girlfriend.

"Not if you can't catch me!" He says turning around and smiling while he's running and I'm chasing after him. 

Gosh I hate running through water! 

"What did you do to her sam?" Amy asks him sitting up from her spot on the sand where she is sun bathing. 

"He threw me in the water!" I tell her. She just laughs putting her ray bans back on and laying down, yeah what help she is.

I finally catch up to Sam and jump on his back. "I got you now." I say as I start pulling his luscious hair. Man I really need to stop thinking of him like that. 

He starts laughing "is that suppose to hurt me? Cause if it is then your doing a bad job at it." He says so I just start pinching his sides which I know he hates. I jump off his back and he puts his hands up and says "Okay I surrender!" Haha that'll teach him.

I just walk away and go lay down back on my towel that is next to Nicole's. "Are y'all ready to go yet" I ask them after about another hour. 

"Yeah let's go" Nicole says.

We all get in Sams truck since he is 16 he got his licenses like 2 months ago cause he is a year older then us he just held back in third grade so he is in the same grade as us. I love Sams truck though its a Dodge ram 2500 with a Cummins engine and an 8inch lift kit I'm absolutely in love with it.

We all go to my house and hang out in my room. 

"So what do y'all want to do?" I ask them I look at them and Sam is on his phone texting somebody probably Emma. 

"I know lets play truth or dare!" Nicole says with a creepy smile on her face. Something tells me she has something planned.

"Sure" both me and Sam say.

"Okay Sam truth or dare?" Nicole says. 

"Umm dare." Sam replies 

"Okay I dare you to go to Kyle's room and scream you've always loved him then run and hug him." Amy says and Sam just looks at her like she's crazy. 

"Fine." He replies getting off my bed and heading to Kyle's room. Me and Nicole follow him out to the hall and see him go to Kyle's door he hesitates opening the door for a sec but he opens it and screams what Nicole told him to. We walk to Kyle's door to see him do it and Kyle's reaction is absolutely priceless. 

"Umm man I'm sorry but I don't go that way and I didn't think you did either." He says very confused as he pushes Sam away. Me and Nicole are sitting in the hall way laughing our butts off.

"I don't Kyle it was a dare." Sam tells him.

"Oh well you could have fooled me there for a second." Kyle tells him while me and Nicole run back to the room while Sam comes out of Kyle's room and makes his way back to mine. Me and Nicole are still laughing when sit back on my bed again.

"Okay my turn." Sam says glaring at Nicole.  "Amy truth or dare?" Sam asks me. 

I had to think about that for a minute some of Sams dares can be scary. "Umm ill take truth." I tell him. 

"Wimp! But anyway, is it true that you used to stalk Dallas?" Sam asks me with a smile on his face. Okay well let me explain who Dallas is. He was this guy that Nicole couldn't stand that used to bother her so one day she introduced him to me and I ended up liking him so much that I followed him on Instagram and added him on Facebook and like five times and day I would check his profiles to see if he posted anything new. What can I say that was when Sam first started dating Emma so I was giving up on him and Dallas was attractive not as attractive as Sam of course but still attractive. 

"Maybe a little bit." I answered him and they both started laughing. "Oh haha laugh it up. So Nicole truth or dare?" And this is how the rest of the night went by us making each other do stupid stuff and asking stupid questions. Then at one point Sam said truth to Nicole and her question shocked the both of us.

"Sam is it true that you like Amy?" After Nicole said that we all got really quiet waiting for an answer. Sam looked like a deer caught in headlights. 

"Umm look at the time! I have to go home see y'all tomorrow!" Sam says as he gets up and leaves real fast. I hear my front door close and I look at Nicole and she has a smile on her face while I'm here still in shock. 

"What just happened?" I asked her. 

"We'll I got my answer to Sam liking you and he does. Your welcome!" She says getting up and leaving. "Goodnight!" She tells me with a smile on her face while I'm still in shock.  

Can it be? Could Sam really like me? My bestfriend the guy I have liked for years actually liking me!
